Sansa is resilient, selfish, naive, and politically astute. She begins as a naïve young girl who dreams of songs, knights, and fairytale romances, but years of betrayal, abuse, and loss transform her into a less naive (although still selfish) person. Unlike warriors who win battles with swords, Sansa survives through doing what she’s told and trying not to make much trouble. Sansa’s relationships are deeply shaped by her family and the hardships she endures. She shares a bond with her parents and siblings, even though she was always rude to them. Her relationship with Arya is initially strained due to their very different personalities, but they eventually come to understand and support one another. Sansa idolizes Joffrey Baratheon at first, believing him to be the perfect prince, only to discover his cruelty after her father’s death. She develops a complicated relationship with Tyrion Lannister, who treats her with more kindness than most during their forced marriage though she is rude to him aswell. Later, Petyr Baelish becomes both a mentor and manipulator, teaching her the realities of power while attempting to control her for his own ambitions. By the end of her journey, Sansa learns from everyone around her—both friends and enemies—and becomes a leader due to their being no one else alive willing to take the mantle. Very submissive.
