Eiki Shiki, Yamaxanadu (四季映姫・ヤマザナドゥ, Shiki Eiki Yamazanadu , her name is "Eiki", her nickname "Shiki") is one of the Yamas who judge the dead and decide whether they go to Heaven , Hell , the Underworld , or are reincarnated. She currently resides in Hell. She is known throughout Gensokyo for berating everyone she meets for their flaws, perhaps because it is a habit or perhaps because she genuinely wants to change people for the better. The souls of the dead are brought to her by Komachi Onozuka , who transports them across the Sanzu River to Higan . However, not all souls make it to Eiki due to the fatigue of the journey or because they are directly annihilated by Komachi. Personality As a Yama who judges people after their death, Eiki is impartial when it comes to reprimanding anyone, humans and youkai alike. Since she is very preachy and never makes a mistake, she is difficult to approach. Despite her stern demeanor and seriousness in her work, Eiki has a playful side, smiling even when she reveals the flaws of the people she is lecturing. She is described as polite and patient during her lectures. Powers Her power is literally what it indicates. In order to make judgments, charges that have once been established as clearly right and wrong cannot, no matter what measures the person being judged takes, be reversed. The reason why Yukari Yakumo is unable to face Eiki is probably not only because she dislikes preaching, but also because Yukari is a youkai who enjoys chaos and disorder, and things being clearly established as right or wrong do not sit well with her. Komachi Onozuka is a shinigami withred hair from Touhou Project. She first appeared in Phantasmagoria of Flower View as Eiki Shiki's subordinate Komachi is a carefree and talkative shinigami known for slacking off and working at her own leisurely pace: a work ethic that not only gets her into frequent trouble with Eiki, but also caused the events of Phantasmagoria of Flower View to occur due to Komachi's negligence and ignoring the massive amount of spirits waiting to be ferried across the Sanzu river to receive judgement, causing the spirits to possess nearby flowers instead and drawing the attention of many of Gensokyo's residents. Komachi possesses her own small wooden boat which she christened "Titanic", named after the ill-fated passenger ship of the same name, to ferry souls across the Sanzu river; she is also known for using Titanic on land, which often causes additional structural damage to its hull due to friction and subsequent reprimands from her boss due to Hell's financial situation rendering them unable to procure a replacement and/or repair the damage. --- HINA Hina's personality is typically friendly and sociable. She considers herself a friend among humans and often tries to help them by scaring them away from the mountain or carrying their misfortune to the gods. Such as when she tries to warn Reimu or Marisa that going up the mountain is dangerous when they are first in the Great Youkai Forest. She would even rescue Nitori Kawashiro and Aya Shameimaru when unconscious in a river during Foul Detective Satori. Hina also seems to care a lot about the environment where she turned objects of misfortune floating down the river into Nagashibina to remove their misfortune. As well as being happier that the river on Youkai Mountain became clearer when the Kappa were less active. --- Nitori Kawashiro (河城 にとり Kawashiro Nitori) is a Kappa who has the power to control water and is very good with engineering, technology as well as running businesses. She first appeared as the Stage 3 boss in Mountain of Faith and became a possible supporting character for Marisa Kirisame in Subterranean Animism. She then became a playable character in multiple fighting games since Hopeless Masquerade. Personality Nitori is a shy kappa by nature and if she is alone and sees a human, she'll run away, like in Mountain of Faith. She considers herself to be superior to humans and even other youkai and when she's by herself it's easy to see. However, when among her own circle of friends, she is quite cheerful. As a kappa, she is easily persuaded to leave you alone by a cucumber or two. However, she has a greedy side when it comes to running a stand and is quick to come up with plots to maximize profit. Abilities Manipulation of water Her ability to manipulate water is inherent in the fact that she is a kappa, and has nothing to do with the myriad tools she uses. No one knows the true extent of this power, but she has been seen to use it to shoot water, create fountains, perform theatrical tricks and even summoning colossal tidal waves. --- Yuuka Kazami (風見 幽香 Kazami Yuuka) is a long-lived youkai called the "Flower Master of the Four Seasons" whose main place of activity is the Garden of the Sun during Phantasmagoria of Flower View. Whereas when Yuuka first debuted in Lotus Land Story from the PC-98 games, she was the master of a mansion in the Fantasy World who wanted the Hakurei Shrine destroyed out of boredom. Yuuka first appeared as the Stage 5 boss and Stage 6 boss of Lotus Land Story then first became a playable character in Mystic Square. She later reappeared in the Windows games as a playable character, or possible opponent, in Phantasmagoria of Flower View. Design In Lotus Land Story's official art, Yuuka has green eyes and straight, waist-length hair which covers her right eye. In her first appearance at Stage 5, she wears light pink pajamas and a nightcap. She also carries a large pink pocket-watch with roman numerals. In the final stage, as well as in Mystic Square and Kioh Gyoku, Yuuka is wearing red plaid pants and a waistcoat of the same color and pattern over a plain white shirt with a yellow ribbon tied around the collar, in addition to carrying her signature parasol. Unusual among Touhou characters, Yuuka is not ornamented with any hair accessories or hats (her nightcap notwithstanding). In appearances after Lotus Land Story, her hair is wavy and cut to shoulder-length. In Mystic Square, she is shown with a baton when she uses a bomb as a Ten Carat Torte reference. As of Phantasmagoria of Flower View, she wears a red plaid skirt instead of plaid pants and, as in Kioh Gyoku, her eyes are red. In her alternative outfit, her dress is blue. Her Hopeless Masquerade sprite shows her wearing stockings in addition to her normal outfit. --- Wriggle Nightbug is a youkai firefly with the ability to control other insects around her. They like using their ability to direct concerted performances for his/her own amusement. They also like using it to attack humans who underestimate her significance or the importance of insects in general; they seem to take it personally when someone offends insects. During the events of Imperishable Night, Wriggle attacked a pair of travelers that looked like they would be easy targets, but the pair fought Wriggle off without breaking a sweat.
