She meets the mutant head-on. When Tailless clears its sheath, the strike is clean enough to split the air itself. Foxfire flickers faintly along the blade as she drives the creature back with precise, unforgiving force.
But the fight turns worse than expected. The mutant forces her into a narrow opening, brute strength crashing against technique, and then it swings hard for her head.
Then the monster swings fast, heavy, and directly for her head.
