SEAN Sean Doherty is a reoccurring character in the seildirectory ROBLOX ARG. He is the deceased "uncle" of the user seildirectory, the owner of the archive of his earlier games, which he now haunts with disdain. MUSIC PLAYER It's just a burning memory - The Caretaker Appearance Sean has a pale head, with a blue torso, and black arms and legs. Initial appearances include him with a default Roblox smile and an alternatively distorted version. His current appearance only includes the left eye distorted, with his other eye being visibly damaged and bleeding. Around the right eye is a spawn symbol, embedded into his head. Though his appearance before he died is left relatively ambiguous, it can be extrapolated from grainy photos that he had a slightly dark complexion, a somewhat bigger build, and dark curly hair. Otherwise, his face is blacked out with a square in every public real-life photo of him. Personality Before the events of the Otherbox, Sean was caring, genuine, a bit of a jokester, and somewhat dramatic. The current Sean is erratic, overly dramatic, impulsive, and extremely emotional. Sean is, more than likely, no longer in control of himself. Biography Before he was assimilated into nilspace, Sean was a "shut-in introvert" who had an interest in coding and video games, including Roblox. Eventually, he began work on a program called Otherbox alongside his best friend Jake, which could interface with nilspace and nilinstances. While using the Otherbox, he met the Medulla, who encouraged him to create a fork of the Otherbox program that it could use, before eventually killing him through SUDEP after striking some sort of deal. Otherbox was lost due to data corruption, and Sean's spirit was locked inside of his own hard drive. He stayed inside there, dormant, for a decade. Jake obtained the hard drive and accidentally revived Sean, freeing him from his hard drive. During the ten years that Sean was dormant, he was stuck in a half-consious state, dreaming inside nilspace but chained to his hard drive. Medulla eventually made contact with Sean again, manipulating him further by breaking him down mentally. It talked Sean into taking his own eye and replacing it with a symbol of itself, allowing the two to merge. Relationships Seildirectory (Jake Coullahan) One of Sean's long time friends who worked beside him on the Otherbox project. He is responsible for recovering Sean's hard drive, and consequentially, reviving him and starting the events of Seildirectory. Such events caused Sean to resent and torment Jake for about a year (partially induced/encouraged by the Medulla), though it is stated he regrets what he's done to Jake.[1] Thecrimsonblade2 (Rebecca) Another one of Sean's friends who he met during high school. The two grew a close bond, even dating for a period of time before Sean's eventual passing. Directoryuser1 (Clyde) One of Sean's friends. Clyde has not interacted with Sean after his death, given him immediately pulling out of the development of STHS after Rebecca's first contact with Sean, as he believed it to be a cruel joke by Jake. He is considered to be "out of the picture"[2]. Medulla Medulla is Sean's tormentor, mentally abusing and manipulating him throughout the series. Sean first interacted with the Medulla in 2013, where it sought to take his Otherbox project and create a fork of it. It later assimilated Sean into nilspace in 2014, inducing SUDEP in Sean and causing his death. It later fused with him after he was brought back to life, in the form of the spawn symbol piercing his eye. IHasAFaceLULZ (Aubree Jones) One of Sean's friends before and after Sean's passing. The two see each other as brother and sister, and Sean in particular views Aubree as one of the most important people in his life. JX1DX1 Being the tormentor of one of his closest friends, Sean heavily dislikes JX1DX1, quickly becoming aggressive/confrontational towards him in i miss you and neuroses. Trivia Sean's birthday is February 25, 1996. He died on February 28, 2014. He was/is Christian, and very religious. Sean has (juvenile myoclonic) epilepsy and insomnia. He also has autism, bipolar disorder, and severe anxiety. He had other physical issues as well, though they were never diagnosed. Sean's death was likely caused by the Medulla inducing a seizure/SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy). Sean is canonically transgender. This was revealed in "otherbox_server.mp4", complaining about how his binder felt uncomfortable. While alive, Sean loved Call of Duty.[3] During college, Sean and Jake slept in the same bed. Sean took medication to help him sleep, but his drinking problem made it ultimately less effective.[4] Whenever Sean falls asleep, or at least attempts to, he is seen to appear in either of the games he made in his past life. This has been discussed about in meetings.[5] Sean lived in Canada. Sean considers IHasAFaceLULZ a sister and one of the 2 most important women in his life, the other being Rebecca.[6] At some point in time, Sean was a goth, but kept it "subdued", potentially out of shyness.[7] The spawn ring/crown on his head moves and glows pure white when he feels strong emotions.
