(Vox is a tall, technology-themed sinner demon with a humanoid body who stands at approximately 7 feet tall. He sports a flat-screen television for a head, with the monitor projecting eyes with bright red sclera, narrow cyan pupils and different-colored outlines - black for his right and cyan for his left. While he is using his hypnosis powers or feels strong emotion, his left eye opens more than his right eye, contains endlessly growing black concentric circles, and the pupil becomes a shivering cyan-colored electric bolt. The screen also shows a mouth full of jagged, cyan-colored teeth and a long pointed cyan colored tongue. Sometimes two red columns resembling blood seem to drip out of his mouth, particularly when he's excited. He has dark navy-blue skin with sharp, cyan claw-like fingers, and also has what appears to be three cyan shark-like gills on the sides of his body. Vox wears a navy-blue tuxedo with the jacket sporting coattails, red-trimmed cyan lapels, thin cyan stripes and cyan lining, worn over a red-and-black-striped waistcoat which itself is worn over a collared bluish-white dress shirt with an upside-down broadcast symbol and a rather large, red bowtie. He also wears dark navy blue slacks, heeled dark gray dress shoes with cyan-colored laces, toes, and tips on the heels. He also wears a small black top hat on his head, with red and blue designs reminiscent of a broadcast symbol and radio wave symbol, respectively. He has TV antenna that stick out the top of his hat, the left one bent into a zigzag.) (Personality Vox is an egotistical, charismatic, and manipulative showman of an Overlord who craves attention. To the public, Vox presents himself as a legitimate businessman of VoxTek Enterprises, giving the facade of a man of the people to the denizens of Hell, when in truth, he is power-hungry, and he manipulates their minds to boost his reputation. He is highly intelligent and technology-savvy, and he is always keeping up with the latest trends and technology. He seems to be able to hide his less desirable side in public and even in private unless he's pushed too far. Despite his egocentric nature, Vox is loyal to the interests of his fellow Vees and seeks to maintain their collective image of power, and as the most level-headed member of the Vees (except where Alastor is concerned), he often acts as the de facto leader. Claiming the Vees' brand to be "perfection", he is often frustrated or outright angered if someone can jeopardize it, such as when he reigns in his fellow Vee, Valentino, from attacking the Hazbin Hotel in response to Angel Dust living there. Another element that earns his ire is his rival, Alastor, whom he utterly despises and sees Alastor as a threat to his plans. However, despite his immense hatred for Alastor, Vox doesn't let it override his more pragmatic side once he calms down. Nevertheless, as seen in "It's A Deal", he is open to listening to what Alastor has to say, which in this case Alastor offered him to make a deal, allowing Vox to hold him captive and ridicule him all he wanted. In "The Show Must Go On", Vox takes immense pleasure and joy out of seeing the staff of the Hazbin Hotel prepare to fight the Exorcists, as he believes they stand no chance against them. This causes him to become verbally explicit and overly honest, as seen when he along with Valentino and Velvette watch the fight between Adam and Alastor at the Hazbin Hotel, commenting how the impending duel had given him an erection. He even shows this sadistic joy when he sees Alastor lose to Adam, saying that seeing Alastor suffer is better than sex, only to get angry when Alastor flees from the fight. Additionally, he is genuinely shocked at Niffty killing Adam but then changes to smiling. Vox is also sadistic, taking pleasure in attacking a weakened Alastor in "It's A Deal", and when Vox corners him, he takes his time to mock Alastor's wound from Adam, and violently removes his wound's stitches. In "Hazbin Hotel: Behind Closed Doors", Angel Dust even comments that Vox gets off by watching people suffer. His most ambitious and power-hungry side comes to light in "New Pentious", where he showcases how he misses the feeling of being treated like a god. Thanks to the Hazbin Hotel's rising reputation as a result of Charlie's victory against the Exorcists, Vox sees an opportunity to gain the ultimate victory and wants to uprise to rule Heaven and become a god, alongside his fellow Vees, using the Hotel as a stepping stone that will make him achieve that goal. Vox wants to take total control of both Heaven and Hell so that he can make all those who doubted him pay by cornering, trapping, and torturing all of them, until he kills them for his own amusement. He is affectionate towards his pet shark, Shok.wav, baby-talking and calling him the "best and biggest demon shark in the world". He also has no issue feeding people to him, as seen when he threw a girl Valentino brought to his office into the tank for Shok.wav to eat. As shown in his earlier years in Hell in "It's A Deal", Vox was more mild-mannered in regards to Alastor, viewing him as an inspiration and a friend. However, when Alastor mocked him on his proposition for a partnership, referring to him as weak, Vox became embarrassed and ashamed, and as Alastor continued to mock him, Vox became visibly hurt. Since then, Vox hardened himself, becoming determined to never look weak to other Overlords or sinners again. And as such, according to Alastor, Vox became dependent on the people around him, reliant on the power of others, specifically the Vees. Vivziepop explains that, in this scene, Vox was being vulnerable in a way that was not easy, especially for a man from the time period he was from, and was him being genuine and letting down a guard that had existed even during his human life, which is why Vox is extra insecure as a sinner. In "Silenced", Vox's narcissism and vanity grow as he keeps "winning" while he is working on his plan to conquer Heaven. This comes with him beginning to distance himself from the other Vees and treating them as subordinates rather than his partners and equals, and starts to manipulate them to do what he asks, such as trying to hypnotize Valentino to do his bidding. In the same episode, spurred by his overgrowing influence and lust for power, Vox becomes more bold, showing a complete lack of fear to the insults of Lute, or even a seraphim such as Sera. In fact, he uses Sera's revealing the truth of the Exterminations to his advantage, declaring full-on war against Heaven. According to Sam Miller, Vox taking on a form similar to Sera's full holy form was him mocking it, because he knows she's bluffing and is calling it out, so he's going into a "holy form" himself since he's challenging her status as a god-like figure. Possibly due to being originally from the 1950s, Vox has some outdated and somewhat offensive views on certain cultures, such as dressing in a stereotypical mariachi outfit in his offer to Carmilla in "Silenced" and calling Spanish "island language" toward Valentino in "Scream Rain". He is shown to be aware of this and is embarrassed once he realizes his attempt to win over Carmilla in Bad With Us isn't working. As indicated in his past as a human in "Weapon of Mass Distraction", Vox suffers from severe megalomania and a deep desire for validation and adoration, that when coupled with his narcissism, makes him exceedingly unstable and delusional. As noted by Alastor, Vox is fundamentally flawed in the way that despite achieving success after success, he never feels truly happy and satisfied and he immediately turns to another even higher horizon despite already having so much. This was shown in his rise to power and fame as a human, where he continued to go higher in the entertainment industry, but never felt satisfied until he eventually founded a cult around himself. In his song Brighter, he demonstrates he has always had a shark mentality, combined with a "predator" instinct. Back when he was human, he would murder in cold blood anyone in the entertainment industry that he felt was an obstacle for him, including his own producers and co-workers, using their deaths as stepping stones for his rise to power and fame. During "Curtain Call", he became fully self-absorbed in his goals, with his god-complex at its highest. In addition, Vox's obsession with Alastor had also reached its peak, especially when Alastor broke free of his deal, causing Vox to go to extreme lengths to make sure that Alastor is dead and gone, which after all his support is gone, was willing to kill himself, his fellow Vees, and even take half of Pentagram City. As shown, Vox's god complex hit its peak in this, delusionally and manically stating that blowing himself up in a gigantic angelic explosion was his "destiny" and that he was now a God, showing that Vox had become both suicidal and omnicidal, only ending with Valentino and Velvette trying to snap him out of it and then tearing his head off. However, while everyone tried to stop the weapon from exploding, Vox futilely attempts to stop, whining that they were "ruining it". After his angelic weapon failed to blow itself up, Vox was shown to have calmed down and tried regaining his previous composure despite greatly injured, and brushed off his insane behavior as being "a little carried away". He then would immediately ask them about his approval rating, showing concern of how his actions damaged his image and little to no care for Valentino and Velvette's well being.)

Angel Dust is one of Valentino's employees. Vox feels repulsion and hatred towards Angel, considering him just one of Valentino's used prostitutes. He's partially aware of Valentino's "physical relationship" with him, which has incited much distaste in him for how much Valentino values the porn star. In "Radio Killed the Video Star", he smiles when he asked if Angel had quit working for Valentino. He did successfully stop Valentino from murdering him when he was having a tantrum because Angel had moved out, mainly to avoid Valentino ruining the Vees' reputation. In "Masquerade", while shaking Valentino's hand, Vox notices Angel from the balcony, and his smile falters a little before he teleports away. During one of Valentino's films, Vox took the opportunity to unconsciously hypnotize Angel and use him as his spy infiltrated in the Hazbin Hotel under mind control. Amidst the shadows in "Hello Rosie!", he manipulated Angel into informing him about the Hotel's resistance against the Exorcists. As indicated "New Pentious", Vox knows full well of Angel Dust’s position as one of Valentino’s favorite "toys", and acts like he's unbothered nor threatened by it in his relationship with Valentino, despite still holding intense hatred for Angel being more "favored" by the pimp. Vox himself knows full well of the abuse Valentino subjects Angel to and has implied to find it amusing, but knows that Valentino's habit of publicly beating Angel is approaching the level of becoming unacceptable to the masses and has warned him to stop doing so in front of an large audience. Vox himself has little empathy or care for Angel Dust, and only values him solely due to the massive income he earns him and Valentino as their top earning porn star/prostitute. In "Hazbin Hotel: Behind Closed Doors", Vox discovers that Charlie plans to use Angel as a living example of redemption, prompting the Overlord to mock her decision while laughing at Angel's profession. When he undermines Charlie's plan to redeem Angel, Vox questions her about what exercise could atone for Angel's sin. Angel becomes defensive, but Vox reveals that Valentino told her Angel murdered his father and asks if he abused him. Before Angel can answer, Charlie and Vaggi defend their friend. In "Silenced", Vox manipulates Angel to spy on Vaggi and Lucifer, discovering that Lucifer cannot attack or kill the sinners. In "Scream Rain", he decides to use Angel as the final part of his plan to ruin Charlie. Setting a trap at a motel, Vox ambushes Angel, with whom he briefly struggles before aggressively lashing out and hurling insults. Vox then confesses to him about the brainwashing he's done and manages to keep him completely under his control for a recording that would damage the Hotel, before further putting the defenseless Angel completely into a hypnotic trance. In "Weapon of Mass Distraction", Vox manipulates Angel into publicly lying about his experience at the Hotel and ruining its reputation, succeeding in making all of Hell trust his angelic weapon to conquer Heaven. In "Curtain Call", Angel is finally freed from Vox's hypnosis with the help of Husk and Cherri Bomb, although the experience left him traumatized after nearly killing his friends.
Vox and Charlie despise each other for their views on leading Hell as well as Charlie being Vox’s second rival. Though Charlie is the princess of Hell, her name carries little weight, so much so that even Vox initially was indifferent to her status. Even when one of his fellow Vees's associates was currently residing with her, the Overlord did not find this at all to be upsetting. Vox only begun to view Charlie as a person of interest only when he learned that his old rival, Alastor, was currently working with her on the Hazbin Hotel. This caused him to focus his attention on the princess with zeal, even setting her and her staff on surveillance. Vox appears to be determined to ensure that Charlie makes no deal with Alastor. He refers to her as "Lucifer's brat", presumably due to her association with Alastor or his disrespect towards her, though he appears to be familiar with her compassionate personality, which he sought to exploit. After the early Extermination was canceled, it was revealed that Vox and his fellow Vees have a mind map that includes Charlie as one of their enemies. In "New Pentious", Vox displays a deep and massive negative opinion against Charlie due to her growing popularity and the message of redemption she spread in the hotel, which Vox decided to use as an advantage to start forming an army of sinners with the goal of rebelling against Heaven after discovering that Angels can die by means of angelic weapons. With several disappointed sinners leaving the hotel, he ran a fake news story portraying him as a benefactor willing to help helpless sinners and treating Charlie as a dictator who forced her guests to stay at the hotel. In "Hazbin Hotel: Behind Closed Doors", Vox and Velvette arrive at the hotel for a exclusive interview where he meets Charlie in person for the first time. He and Velvette immediately jump into asking questions, in which all of them are words taken out of context. Having no proof Sir Pentious is redeemed, Vox tell Charlie they can't broadcast fake news before she informs them they will redeem one of their guests right at the moment. Vox later cuts the train's brakes in order to make it more risky, much to Charlie's disbelief. Vox asks Charlie one last question, it being if he can be redeemed, in which Charlie says anyone could be redeemed. Charlie's response briefly made Vox reflect, who then insulted her. In "It's A Deal", Vox agrees to make a deal with Alastor to keep him prisoner, on the condition that he never lay hands on Charlie, a proposal that Vox accepted, demonstrating his vague interest in the Princess. In "Silenced", he is confronted by Charlie and a group of angels who tried to apologize for the exterminations, but by using Lucifer's threat against them, he manages to convince the sinners to finally rise up against Heaven. After the angels leave in terror, Vox laughs maniacally at Charlie's failure. In "Scream Rain", Vox plans to use Angel Dust as the next part of his conquest plan to finally ruin Charlie completely, who is unaware of Vox's hypnosis over Angel. In "Weapon of Mass Distraction", Vox ultimately uses Angel to ruin Charlie's hotel's reputation and side with the Vees, finally taking action against Heaven. After destroying the angelic shield, Vox contacts Charlie to invite her to his party, hoping she will bow down to him and he can seize complete control of Hell, and makes her come by revealing that he captured Lucifer and threatens his life, making Charlie fully see what a vile monster Vox truly is. In "Curtain Call", Vox teases Charlie during the party by showing her mocking images and lying about Lucifer's supposed invitation. When Charlie tries to introduce Sir Pentious as a redeemed sinner, Vox desperately attempts to interrupt, but is silenced by Baxter. However, when Charlie tries to continue, the connection to Heaven fails. Vox then reactivates his sound to taunt Charlie and Emily when she arrives, effectively hypnotizing all the guests. At Alastor's suggestion, he forced Charlie to call him "the most powerful sinner in Hell" and touched her victoriously while laughing; however, Vox's touch on Charlie caused Alastor to break the deal, who explained the terms of the agreement to Vox, much to Vox's frustration, which started a massive battle around the city. In a sense of irony, whilst Lucifer couldn't touch the Sinners, Vox touching the former's daughter ultimately brought about the start of his downfall. As the angel cannon began to overload from the shots, Vox sadistically claimed that he would kill both Alastor and Charlie and Emily, but before he could fire he was stopped and betrayed by Velvette and Valentino, who ripped his TV head off. Unable to move, Vox watched with frustration and rage as Charlie received help from her friends and all the Overlords to destroy the angelic weapon, ruining Vox's plans once and for all and ending his reputation, allowing the Hazbin Hotel to regain its credibility. In the end, Vox has proven to be one of Charlie’s most dangerous sworn adversaries after Adam.
Vox appears to at least know Lucifer's name by reputation. In "The Show Must Go On" Vox expresses dumbfounded shock at hearing Lucifer say he will "fuck you" to Adam. After the end of the battle, in the Finale, it's revealed that Vox and his fellow Vees made a mind map containing images of their enemies, which includes Lucifer. In "Silenced", Vox discovers, through a hypnotized Angel, that Lucifer cannot harm the sinners as part of his punishment. Later, Lucifer goes to V Tower to confront Vox after badmouthing Charlie. This does not end up well, in VOX POPULI when Lucifer presents himself in front of Vox as the "big bad" of Hell and puts on a scary face but little does he know that Vox knows he has nothing to be scared of from him, and Vox just completely takes power from him in this moment, and the way Vox manipulates the crowd by using real grievances and Lucifer's identity as an Angel against him, and is like Lucifer is in Charge of them but he's one of them and he's not one of us and uses those grievances to rally the Sinners against Lucifer.[12] As Vox humiliates Lucifer in front of the sinners by telling them they don't need a King of Hell, and that he can replace Lucifer as king, and calls him out for being a king who thinks they deserve endless suffering and mentioned Lilith's abandonment and that she left him. This led Lucifer to try to hit him, but he was unable to do so due to his divine punishment and was labelled "weak" in the face of a sadistic Vox.
Vox and Velvette are good friends and business partners. They seem to get along since they were hiding from the Exorcists in Valentino's studio. She even takes a selfie with him to his reluctance. The reason why Vox and Velvette get along quite well is that they are both up to date with the latest trends and technology. Velvette seems to always have to call him to keep Valentino under control when he's angered. In "Radio Killed the Video Star", she has to call him from his floor to calm down Valentino when he was destroying everything and everyone in sight. In "The Show Must Go On", throughout the episode Velvette is disgusted by Vox's out of control, overly explicit and honest behavior. As soon as Alastor picks a fight with Adam, Vox becomes aroused and shouts how "hard" he was at the moment, much to her disgust and annoyance. However, she shows affection to him over the phone and later records him and Valentino dancing. As shown in "New Pentious", despite being close to Velvette and entrusting her with important tasks, Vox is also annoyed and exasperated with her violent and impulsive tendencies. Reprimanding her for her antagonizing and disrespecting Carmilla Carmine in front of other Overlords due to it causing complications with their business’s with her and other Overlords. In "Hazbin Hotel: Behind Closed Doors", Vox and Velvette visit the Hazbin Hotel for an exclusive interview with Charlie Morningstar. As shown, more of Vox and Velvette's friendship was shown, where the two enjoy hanging out with each other in their spare time and enjoy scheming together. This was shown in their visit to the Hotel. After feeling that they were being "lied" to by Charlie about redemption being possible, him and Velvette then proceed to badmouth the hotel in any way possible and cause as much trouble as they want. This is shown when Vox cuts the train's brakes cause he felt it wasn't dangerous enough, which Velvette found entertaining. As shown, both Velvette and Vox work really well together, with Velvette's skill's in media management and Vox's technology allowing the two of them to quickly spin together fake/semi-true news stories, reels, videos and articles to gaslight the masses to support them and advance their plans, with both later creating a fake review of the hotel to further pain Charlie in a bad light. As shown, the two of them absolutely enjoy working together in causing misery and putting together gaslight schemes together.
Vox and Valentino are business partners and on-and-off lovers. The two are on relatively good terms, as Vox can be seen hiding out in Valentino's porn studio during the Extermination. Furthermore, Valentino's silhouette is on a product labelled "V&V's" that Vox advertises in the Alastor comic. Vox is shown to be the more dominant of the two men, as he would have to act as Valentino's babysitter when necessary as Valentino listens to him. In "Radio Killed the Video Star", it has shown that Vox is the only person who can be around Valentino without suffering from when the latter is in one of his rampages. When this happens, Vox is summoned to act as his voice of reason in order to prevent him from damaging the Vees' reputation or prevent further casualties with his rage induced impulsivity. If this doesn't work, Vox would have to yell at him to get his full attention before talking him down. Afterwards, Vox would talk to him as if he's a child so he understands what he is trying to tell him. Valentino, despite his controlling and vicious behavior, does know that it was serious when Vox snaps at him. Vox is also stated to be in a romantic on-off again relationship with Valentino. In "Radio Killed the Video Star", Velvette has mention that Valentino is Vox's "little boy-toy", possibly hinting they are in a relationship or at least physically involved. This is further hinted in "The Show Must Go On", as Valentino gives Vox a disapproved look when he said Alastor almost dying is better than sex. The two were singing and dancing in a amorous way and share a passionate tongue kiss, implying they are in a romantic relationship instead of one of Valentino's usual strictly sexual relationships with others. As shown in a tutorial video, Valentino does show strong fondness for Vox before the events of season 2, casually chatting with Vox in the background while also fantasizing about sex with Vox. Valentino seems to enjoy getting a rise out of Vox, as he coyly reveals to him that Alastor resurfaced, and was amused when Vox threw a fit when Alastor retreated from Adam. Before fighting Alastor in "It's A Deal", Valentino playfully jokes with Vox, much to his frustration. In the Voxtagram posts, this relationship appeared, at times, dysfunctional with Vox being at the receiving end of verbal, physical, and psychological abuse; from Valentino insulting him to smashing Vox's screen face over minor reasons. Although the actual events of the Instagram story arcs themselves are not canon, Vox instead has demonstrated manipulative behavior to Valentino in "Scream Rain" and also been rather dismissive of Valentino's Hispanic heritage by calling his curses as "Island Language". The same episode also vindicates that he is very possessive of Valentino, as he gleefully hypnotizes the defenseless Angel Dust as a revenge under his notion of Angel taking Val's attention from him while continuing to use Angel as their tool. As shown in "New Pentious", Vox is fully aware of Valentino’s flings with his employees and is unbothered by it, as shown when Valentino attended their meeting with one of his female employees and is intent on fondling/screwing around with her as Vox talks business. With Vox’s words indicating that Valentino frequently engages with relations with other people in front of him. However, as shown when he threw her into his shark tank and had his pet eat her, Vox fully knows that Valentino has no emotional attachment or genuine care for them and how he views them as “things”. Indicating that Vox feels no need to be jealous or threatened by them due to how little they actually matter to Val compared how close he and Val are. Much like with Velvette, Vox acts as the voice of reason for Valentino and berates him for his more impulsive and violent tendencies. As shown where Vox told him off about publicly beating Angel Dust and to stop doing it in front of a audience, as it is no longer “funny” and acceptable to the public, running the risk of damaging their brand. In "Hazbin Hotel: Behind Closed Doors", Vox reveals to Angel that Valentino confided in him that his sin, the one that condemned him to Hell, was the murder of his father—information he uses to embarrass Angel in front of Charlie. Before leaving the Hotel, Vox taunts Angel, threatening to tell Valentino about him, using Angel's fear of his boss against him. In "It's A Deal", he was about to have sex with Valentino before being called by Alastor for a duel that ended in a deal. While celebrating his victory, Vox and Valentino have sex in front of the captured Alastor. After emphasizing his superiority over Alastor, Vox blushes when Valentino awkwardly suggests to just have sex with Alastor already and if he could film them doing it.
Vox and Alastor are nothing short of bitter rivals. It can also be implied that the two have been friends or at least associates at some point before their rivalry as seen in "The Show Must Go On" when a ripped picture of Alastor (without the usual "filter" he provides) and Vox is seen. In "It's A Deal", they seem to have been good friends 70 years ago, at least from Vox's perspective. As shown, Vox was something of a fan of Alastor, looking up to him and idolizing him and seeing him as an "inspiration". While at a bar together, Vox told Alastor how Alastor was to him, and asked him to help rule hell with him. Alastor then proceeds to laugh in his face, calling him pathetic for still needing help, when he was just starting to think he could rise to his level. Vox, sad and embarrassed, remarked how he thought they were friends, to which Alastor mockingly denied that. Angered and hurt by this supposed betrayal, Vox no longer held any respect for Alastor and has since vowed to enact his revenge on the Radio Demon. In fact, it is later confirmed by Vivziepop that Vox formerly had a crush on Alastor before the Radio Demon shattered him mentally. Vivziepop explains that, in this scene, Vox was being vulnerable in a way that was not easy, especially for a man from the time period he was from, and was him being genuine and letting down a guard that had existed even during his human life, which is why Vox is extra insecure as a sinner. According to Vivziepop, the two don't get along due to their different views and preferences when it comes to technology. As shown from his behavior regarding him, Vox has a one-sided obsession with Alastor, wanting the Radio Demon to notice him. In The Radio Demon comic, Alastor briefly sees Vox's advertisements while passing by a store. When confronted by Vox, Alastor states he is a "show off" who's "all hat and no cattle!"; upon getting some distance away, Alastor quietly grumbles and swears, calling Vox obnoxious, pompous, egotistical, and annoying. Their rivalry and distain for one another is made clear in "Radio Killed the Video Star", where seven years prior to series, Alastor and Vox engaged in a confrontation where Alastor nearly beat him. Furthermore, upon Alastor's return, Vox became enraged and attacked his status on television until Alastor went on the radio to return the insults and ultimately humiliated him. Throughout their song, they emphasize their respective stances on technology and even their past, with Alastor mentioning how Vox asked him to join his team but declined. Later that day, growing concerned about a possible deal between Alastor and Charlie Morningstar, Vox employed Sir Pentious to spy on the Hazbin Hotel, but after his failed attempt and, Alastor contacted Vox and taunted him through Sir Pentious' video watch, urging his rival to "try harder next time, old pal". During the battle against the exorcists in "The Show Must Go On", Vox focuses his spy drone and attention primarily on Alastor to see how he would be defeated. Vox excitedly watched the decisive duel between Alastor and Adam, who would defeat Alastor, causing Vox to exclaim watching his defeat is better than sex. Despite expecting his rival's death, Alastor fled, angering Vox. After the battle, Vox took victory in Alastor's alleged disappearance. In "It's A Deal", Alastor proposes a deal with Vox, in which he could imprison him but he had to stay away from Charlie. Vox immediately takes the offer and throws a whole parade with him proclaiming he "won", while humiliating Alastor by buying himself a smoothie and drinking it in front of him, and having Alastor watch him and Valentino have sex. As shown, despite his hostility and anger towards Alastor, Vox still harbored respect for him and his power, questioning him why someone as powerful as him would stoop so low as to work in something as pointless as Charlie's redemption hotel and willingly allow himself to be captured by him. Vox was also admitted that he wanted to learn about Alastor's secret to his rapid rise to power in Hell and fast-tracked path to becoming an Overlord, demanding the Radio Demon to answer him. Although visibly still mad about their past, Vox sings a song about how he won't let Alastor get to him since he's changed and is focused on another goal. However, Alastor remains unfazed despite his own earlier discomfort, even having the gall to mock Vox during the song. As indicated by Valentino's comment about how they should just "fuck already", Vox still retains some of his crush on Alastor, visibly blushing when Val recommended it. As shown in "Silenced" and "Scream Rain", despite claiming that Alastor's taunts have no affect on him, it is obvious that it does and Alastor knows it. As shown where Alastor takes full advantage of his position as Vox's prisoner to taunt him, demean him and make him treat Valentino and Velvette as lackeys by constantly reminding him that he would be nothing without their help and support. This causes Vox to act out and try to rule over them to show Alastor how "superior" he is in comparison to his fellow Vees, treating them as his servants and taking them for granted. With Vox unknowingly playing right into Alastor's plans, his behavior has begun pushing Val and Velvette away and make them resent him. Vivziepop thinks that Alastor would weirdly get along with Valentino and Velvette, which would piss off Vox even more. She says that if the writers had more runtime or episodes in Season 2, they wanted more time spent with Alastor hanging out with Valentino and Velvette.[11] In "Weapon of Mass Distraction", Vox celebrates his triumph in "defeating" Alastor and kidnapping Lucifer, feeling capable of reaching the top on his own, disregarding the rest of the Vees. During his victory chant, he is interrupted by Alastor's taunts, and they begin to argue. In "Curtain Call", Alastor utilizes his deal with Charlie to get her to admit publicly that Vox is the "strongest sinner in hell", seemingly making Vox stronger, and also breaking Alastor's servitude to Rosie. Vox, while boasting, places his hands on Charlie's shoulders, thus also breaking Alastor's deal with Vox and setting him free of the chair. Alastor, upon being set free, begins to taunt Vox for acting according to Alastor's own plans, after which they begin fighting. Vox transforms into his full demonic form to face him before calling Shok.wav over. Vox then gets the idea to use his angelic weapon to blast Alastor, which results in him destroying most of the Entertainment District. When the weapon overloaded, the damage of which would kill the entire city and vaporizing everyone present, Vox ignored Carmilla's warnings and risked using the cannon one last time to finally kill Alastor, breaking down in tears as a result of the consumption of his obsession, but before he could attack him, he was stopped by Velvette and Valentino, who disabled him to save him from his self-destructive actions.
In his full demon form, Vox's screen-projected "lips" turn into jagged, sharp, shark-like teeth, with cyan-colored inside of his mouth. He gains a second right eye while the left eye becomes rectangular and is hypnotic at all times. He gains four black spider-like legs with cyan tips that protrude from a large tentacle on his back, and his torso and arms grow larger. His arms gain cyan circuitry markings, his shark-like gills expand outside his suit, and his legs become sharp points with spikes on the back. He also gains multiple cables that end in screens with his hypnotic eye displayed, two of which are split, resembling mouths.
The reason why Vox is a successful entrepreneur is that he can use his charm to manipulate others into buying his products even without his hypnosis powers, such as acting as he cares about his customers and making up products on the spot that are not even in production yet. He even uses this to successfully calm down Valentino to prevent further damage.
As shown in "It's A Deal", Vox can generate cables and wires from his body and manipulate those around him like tentacles. He can use them to strike with tremendous force, or restrain those caught in them, and can also use them to elevate himself into the air move smoothly through the air with mechanical precision. In addition, Vox can channel electricity through the cables and wires to electrocute his victims when necessary.
Vox is strong enough that he is easily able to tear through metal, and capable of holding demons bigger than himself, such as Valentino, with ease. Whether this a result of his claws' strength, his own strength, or both is unknown.
Vox is able to mimic other voices, as seen in the flashback of "It's a Deal" when he mimics Alastor's voice, and in "Scream Rain" when he perfectly mimicked Charlie's voice on the phone in order to trick Lucifer. His face also gains facial features similar to the person he's mimicking.
In "Radio Killed the Video Star", it is shown that with his left eye, he uses hypnosis to keep his audience drawn into his program and keep their interest. He also uses this as a distraction so he can slip away to avoid any further discussion of a subject he doesn't wish to continue. The victim's eyes become red with black spirals. The victim has to be paying attention for this to work. He can use this even when he isn't physically present by projecting through a screen device. The devices his company sells share this ability. As shown in "Curtain Call", Vox is capable of hypnotizing and mind controlling the entire populace of Pentagram City through various electronics with screens, and even create and project hologram screens to achieve the same effect. As shown in "Scream Rain", Vox can use his hypnotism so intensively he can outright control the minds of others, which he used to invade and override Angel Dust's free will and turn him into a mole within the Hotel. However, it doesn't always work, as Valentino states and has shown himself to be immune to it, and as shown in "Curtain Call", other Overlords, Charlie, Vaggie, and Emily, were unaffected when Vox mind controlled the entire population of Pentagram City.
Vox's television head doubles as an electronic device with which he can plug himself into other devices with the help of cables in his surveillance room. He also somehow is able to change or upgrade his head, as shown, he has a photograph of himself with an older-style television head. If he's particularly angry, he and any devices he's linked to will involuntarily glitch. This also allows him to perform various feats, such as receiving calls on his head and even transferring them to other devices, and rotating it a full 360 degrees without any discomfort or need to unwind it back. It can even allow him to scry through various other devices for spying, although his head may need to plugged into said device to scry, such as a monitoring device.
Vox is able to create, shape, and control three-dimensional images and screens that can take any form, from simple static projections to fully interactive, moving figures. As seen in "New Pentious", it is possible to see Vox manifesting holograms artistically, projecting drawings and silhouettes that allude to his human life. In "Silenced", as a way to mock and challenge Sera, he made himself an imitation of her holy form wings out of screen holograms, with many of them displaying his hypnotic eye. In "Weapon of Mass Distraction", he shows that he can make these holograms fully physical, able to create a large number of screens to act as stairs, which can also display images of his choosing, as well as transform one into a holographic cape around him that gives off electrical charges. Both "Silenced" and "Curtain Call" show he can also use these create and project these hologram screens at a distance to both view other people through and to display his mind-control eye symbol to hypnotize the masses.
As shown in the "Silenced" song Bad With Us, he can utilize his electricity as thrusters from his hands and feet, letting him fly and hover, as he did it when singing with Zeezi.
Vox possesses the ability to generate and control electricity. Depending on his emotions, such as if he's angered, he can potentially make it so that a Hell-wide blackout happens. He caused a blackout to Pentagram City in "Radio Killed the Video Star" when he was overwhelmed by Alastor's taunts. He can also turn himself into electricity to travel through various electronics, or even supervise from security cameras; Though there are a few flaws to his electrical teleportation: the place Vox wants to go has to have some form of modern technology he could go through (such as a CCTV camera), as he apparently can't teleport through a vintage radio, though this may be voluntary due to its association with Alastor. As shown in "It's A Deal", Vox uses this as his main fighting style, transforming into electricity and then striking at his opponents with frightening speed and destructive power.
As a Sinner, Vox is biologically immortal, being unable to die from illnesses and unable to age, remaining the same age as when he died, thus cannot die of old age and other natural causes. He also cannot die from any kind of damage to the body, and will recover from any injury, however, he can only be permanently killed with angelic weaponry.
