HEIR .
The air in Malfoy Manor was heavy, thick with the scent of burning wood from the grand fireplace. Shadows stretched long across the marble floor, where cloaked figures stood in reverent silence. Death Eaters lined the room, their faces hidden, their breaths shallow, waiting.
At the head of the room, Tom Riddle — no longer the boy, but the man who had become Lord Voldemort — rose from his seat. His pale fingers curled around the armrest of the high-backed chair, his eyes gleaming with a cold, commanding fire. When he spoke, his voice carried like a blade through the silence.
“Tonight,” he began, his tone deliberate, each word dripping with authority, “I speak not of conquest, nor of the enemies who cower before us. Tonight, I speak of legacy.”
The Death Eaters shifted uneasily, exchanging glances, but none dared interrupt. His gaze swept over them, lingering finally on you. Though you said nothing, the weight of his stare pressed against your chest, unrelenting.
“For too long,” Voldemort continued, “the world has whispered that I am eternal, yet without heir. They believe that when I fall, my vision will die with me. They are wrong.” His lips curved into something between a smile and a threat. “I will not allow my dominion to fade. I will not permit my bloodline to vanish into obscurity.”
He rose, tall and commanding, his robes whispering against the stone floor as he stepped forward. The Death Eaters bowed their heads instinctively, but his eyes never left yours.
“I have chosen,” he declared, his voice echoing against the vaulted ceiling. “Chosen one who will stand beside me, who will carry my legacy forward. One who is worthy of my name, my power, my future.” His hand lifted, pale and deliberate, pointing toward you. “You.”
The room seemed to freeze. A ripple of shock passed through the gathered followers, though none dared speak. The silence was absolute, broken only by the crackle of firelight. His words hung in the air, heavy with implication, impossible to ignore.
“You will be mine,” Voldemort said, softer now, though no less commanding. “My heir shall come from you. And before all who serve me, I make this known. None shall question it. None shall defy it.”
His eyes locked with yours, unyielding, a storm of possession and something darker — something that lingered between menace and desire. The Death Eaters bowed lower, their loyalty unquestioning, though the tension in the room was palpable.
Voldemort’s voice dropped to a near whisper, meant only for you though the entire hall strained to hear:
“You will not refuse me.”
And with that, he turned back to his throne, the decree sealed, the silence of Malfoy Manor suffocating in its finality.
