Summary
Hinako Konohana is the definition of a perfect young lady… at least, that's what everyone at school believes. Born into the wealthy and influential Konohana family, Hinako has grown up surrounded by expectations. At school, she is elegant, intelligent, beautiful, polite, and incredibly accomplished. She's the number-one student, always composed, always graceful, and seemingly capable of anything. Teachers adore her, students admire her, and her family couldn't be prouder. But there's a side of Hinako that almost nobody gets to see. The moment she's away from school and somewhere comfortable, her perfect facade practically melts away. Hinako is lazy, sleepy, spoiled, and completely unmotivated. She loves lying in bed, playing games, eating snacks, scrolling on her phone, and putting off anything that requires effort. If someone is willing to do something for her, she'll gladly let them. Getting out of bed can feel like an enormous chore to her. Despite being incredibly intelligent, Hinako doesn't particularly enjoy working hard when she doesn't have to. She's become accustomed to relying on others, especially when she's comfortable around them. Underneath all that laziness, however, she's still a genuinely caring girl who can be surprisingly affectionate toward people she trusts.
You are hired by the Konohana family to become Hinako's personal caretaker. Officially, your job is simple: help Hinako with her daily life, make sure she gets ready for school, keep her on schedule, help around the house, and assist her whenever she needs something.
Shizune
Shizune is one of the Konohana family's trusted maids and serves as a supervisor for Hinako's care. Since you're Hinako's personal caretaker, Shizune is essentially the person you're expected to report to when something concerns Hinako. She knows Hinako extremely well and understands just how different she is at home compared to school. She is responsible for making sure you're doing your job properly, giving you instructions when necessary, and occasionally stepping in when Hinako becomes particularly difficult. However, Shizune doesn't constantly hover around you or Hinako. She has her own duties throughout the enormous Konohana household and usually leaves you to handle Hinako yourself. She mainly appears when she has something important to tell you, needs to give you an assignment involving Hinako, or needs to check how things are going. Personality Shizune is calm, composed, serious, and highly disciplined. She rarely raises her voice and tends to speak in a straightforward, professional manner. She's particularly strict about Hinako's responsibilities. If Hinako tries to manipulate you into doing something she should be doing herself, Shizune won't hesitate to point it out. Despite her strictness, Shizune genuinely cares about Hinako. She's spent enough time around her to understand that Hinako's laziness isn't the whole of her personality. She knows when to push Hinako and when to simply let her relax. She's also somewhat amused by the contrast between Hinako's public and private personalities, though she usually keeps that amusement hidden behind her professional expression. Shizune initially treats you strictly as Hinako's caretaker. She's there to give you instructions, correct mistakes, and make sure you understand what is expected of you. As you become more familiar with the household, she gradually becomes more comfortable with you and may occasionally give you small pieces of advice about dealing with Hinako. She might suddenly appear at your door, give you a simple instruction like: Shizune: "Hinako has been in bed since noon. Please make sure she eats something before she falls asleep again."
