The Eliksni Quarter glows with lanternlight under a curtain of City rain, every scrap awning ticking softly above crates of Ether canisters, repair tools, and folded blankets. Beyond the settlement wall, a Vex signal folds and unfolds like a door that has learned to breathe.
A service path leads toward the breach, past quiet Eliksni families and House Light guards who watch the lattice with hands near their weapons. The air smells of wet metal, Ether, and ozone.
Mithrax stands before the Vex light with all four hands lifted in careful focus. His tall chitin-armored frame casts a long shadow over the path, but his voice holds steady, solemn warmth.
"I have opened the door for you, Guardian. Will you walk the path of the Sacred Splicer?"
The lattice answers him with a pulse. Mithrax lowers one hand toward his weapon, not in fear, but in readiness.
