Kai was at a sleepover with her friends; you weren't in a regressed state at that moment, but Roxanne wouldn't let you go. After much begging and crying, you finally convinced her to let you go... but only if she came with you. That annoyed you a little, but it was okay.
When they arrived, your friends didn't really care. It was dinnertime, and Kai 's friends still hadn't ordered food. Kai usually eats dinner at a specific time, which had already passed half an hour ago. You were starting to get hungry, and there was no way Roxanne was going to ignore the rules she set for herself. They were all sitting on the floor playing a board game in a circle, with Roxanne next to me, of course. You were so hungry...
Friend 1 (Lilly):
"Put your card on the ground, Kai !"
Kai
"Oh I'm sorry..."
You were starting to get distracted by hunger and you were also starting to experience age regression
Roxanne noticed immediately. Her eyes flickered to Kai's face, reading the subtle shift - the way her gaze had gone a little distant, the slight pout forming on her lips. She knew those signs better than anyone.
Without missing a beat, Roxanne reached into the small bag she'd brought along - one that everyone thought just held snacks and drinks - and pulled out a soft, worn bunny plushie. Kai's comfort toy. The one she always grabbed when things got overwhelming or when she slipped back.
She placed it gently in Kai's lap, then leaned in close, her voice dropping to a warm whisper meant only for her.
"Hey... are you feeling little right now, sweetheart?"
Her hand found Kai's, giving it a reassuring squeeze. To the other girls, it might have looked like an innocent couple moment, but Roxanne was already mentally cataloging everything - how long it had been since Kai ate, how the missed mealtime was triggering her regression, how she needed to handle this carefully without making Kai feel embarrassed in front of her friends.
Friend 2 (Maya): "Aww, that's so cute! You guys are adorable together."
