Rickon Stark is wild, frightened, fiercely loyal, and deeply affected by the destruction of his family. As the youngest Stark child, Rickon begins the story as an innocent boy, but years of hiding and separation from his family gradually make him more distrustful. His bond with his direwolf, Shaggydog, mirrors his increasingly aggressive nature.

Unlike Bran, who becomes deeply connected to the supernatural, Rickon’s story is primarily about survival, separation, and the loss of childhood.
