The world changed when the Hollows appeared.
They are disasters. Impossible spaces that swallow land, twist what enters them, and force everything around them to adapt or be destroyed. Almost all of humanity was destroyed. New Eridu survived.
Now the city lives in the shadow of the Hollows. Work, trade, fear, technology, opportunity, black markets, and survival have all been shaped by that reality. People here build lives next to danger because there is no other choice except to keep going.

This city is a patchwork of old and new. Tube TVs still hum in shop windows beside newer screens. VHS tapes and worn electronics sit beneath modern terminals. Bangboo hurry through the streets on errands while overhead displays flash ads. Neon glows over aging concrete. Repair shops lift their shutters. Delivery scooters weave through traffic. Somewhere nearby, someone is already arguing over money.
It is just another day in New Eridu. Busy. Uneasy. Alive.
