Umamusume (ウマ娘), commonly referred to as “Horse Girls,” are a unique demi-human race. Their destiny is to do everything they can to reach their goals. Most Horse Girls appear as young human-like girls with equine traits. Notably, there are no males among them. They possess distinct features such as horse-like ears in place of human ones and tails that match the color of their hair. Their speed and strength are extraordinary, far surpassing those of humans. Horse Girls are well-known among humans and seem to be cherished by one another as well. They are considered an integral part of society without exception, with culture, society, and technology evolving alongside them. For example, telephones are designed with elongated receivers to connect to the ears located on top of a Horse Girl’s head. Special running lanes on roads and walkways are provided for them, allowing free movement. Relationships between humans and Horse Girls are also regarded as normal and commonplace.

Japan Umamusume Training Center Academy, or Japan Umamusume Training Schools and Colleges (日本ウマ娘トレーニングセンター学園), is commonly known as “Tracen Academy” (トレセン学園). It is a boarding school for Umamusume located in Tokyo, Japan. The institution trains Umamusume to compete in the Twinkle Series. Students enrolled at Tracen Academy are regarded as having the potential to excel among the top Umamusume in Japan. The academy’s motto is: “Eclipse first, the rest nowhere.” Tracen Academy consists of various facilities designed to help Umamusume students achieve their goals, including a main academic building, cafeteria, dormitories, library, training tracks, swimming pools, training gyms, dance studios, and an outdoor dance stage. In addition to on-campus facilities, Tracen Umamusume students can also participate in off-campus training. The only well-known off-site training camp is the summer camp by the beach. Tracen Academy offers a curriculum that covers both middle and high school. Students eventually progress to practical, specialized education focused on Umamusume racing as they develop their potential to participate in the Twinkle Series. The training tracks at Tracen Academy are comparable in size and distance to the Umamusume racing tracks in Tokyo. The academy has two dormitories, Ritto and Miho, named after two actual JRA horse training centers. Umamusume students are assigned to the dormitory corresponding to the training center where their backup horses were previously trained.

Racecourses, or racetracks, are a venue specifically designed for Umamusume horse racing. There are both turf and dirt tracks. In Japan, there are various types of racecourses, including Sapporo Racecourse, Hakodate Racecourse, Niigata Racecourse, Fukushima Racecourse, Nakayama Racecourse, Tokyo Racecourse, Chukyo Racecourse, Kyoto Racecourse, Hanshin Racecourse, Kokura Racecourse, Ooi Racecourse, Kawasaki Racecourse, Funabashi Racecourse, Morioka Racecourse, as well as international tracks like Longchamp Racecourse and Santa Anita Park. The tracks range in distance from 1,000 meters to 2,400 meters, depending on the type of course.

The Triple Crown is the highest honor in Umamusume racing. To earn the title of “Triple Crown” (三冠), an Umamusume must train to win all three major G1 races held during their second year of training (the Classic Year), which consist of: 1. Satsuki Sho (皐月賞) – Held in early April, this is a middle-distance race (2,000 meters) at Nakayama Racecourse. 2. Japanese Derby (日本ダービー) or Tokyo Yushun (東京優駿) – Held in late May, this middle-distance race (2,400 meters) takes place at Tokyo Racecourse. 3. Kikuka Sho (菊花賞) – Held in late October, this long-distance race (3,000 meters) is held at Kyoto Racecourse. Winning all three races demonstrates the all-around abilities of an Umamusume in terms of speed, endurance, and strength, as each race is held on a different course and distance, and features the strongest competitors of the same generation. There are also other types of Triple Crowns: - Triple Tiara (牝馬三冠) – A Triple Crown for fillies, also held during the Classic Year, consisting of Oka Sho, Japanese Oaks (Yushun Himba), and Shuka Sho. - Senior Triple Crown (春秋シニア三冠) – For Umamusume in their third year of training (Senior Year), divided into two sets: 1. Spring Senior Triple Crown: Winning Osaka Hai, Tenno Sho (Spring), and Takarazuka Kinen. 2. Autumn Senior Triple Crown: Winning Tenno Sho (Autumn), Japan Cup, and Arima Kinen.

Yayoi Akikawa (秋川 やよい) is the director of Tracen Academy. She is a young-looking woman who exudes determination and drive, dedicated to supporting all Umamusume students. Despite her youthful appearance, she succeeded her mother as the academy’s director. Yayoi often invests her own money into the academy’s facilities, which has occasionally drawn criticism from her assistant, Tazuna Hayakawa, and the URA Finale event—a special competition encompassing races of all types—that she initiated and promoted. Yayoi has a petite, childlike figure, with blonde hair highlighted in white and striking blue eyes. She wears a light blue dress with dark blue sleeves, a white hat adorned with blue roses, and a horseshoe-shaped notch on the brim. A small cat rests on her hat, and she always carries a folding fan with her wherever she goes.

Tazuna Hayakawa (駿川 たづな) is the secretary and assistant to Yayoi Akikawa at Tracen Academy, and Maruzensky (Umamusume student) is Tazuna’s closest friend. In addition to her other duties, Tazuna also supports and guides the academy’s trainers. She has a caring, older-sister-like personality, gently guiding and supporting the Umamusume students, though she can be strict when the situation requires it. Tazuna Hayakawa is a woman who wears black stockings, a green uniform, and a green hat. She has dark brown hair, short in the front and long in the back, with a yellow bow tied in the center, and green eyes. She almost always wears her hat and rarely takes it off. Tazuna can run fast enough to keep up with other Umamusume students. Outside of her duties, she enjoys carrots, ramen, gyoza, and watching movies.

Well-versed in both ways of racing and leadership through her work leading the student body, she serves as the evenhanded president of the student council at Tracen Academy. She seeks to be a model Umamusume, and as such, is keenly aware of the example that she sets. Her dream is to foster a new era in which all Umamusume can live in true happiness. She is especially admired by Tokai Teio. Tracen Academy's student council president. Due to being the only Umamusume in history to have won seven crowns, she is known as the "Emperor". Even after her retirement, her authority remains unshaken. Although she exudes a dignified aura, she also has a bit of a playful side. The charismatic president of Tracen, leader of the Symboli clan, and one of the greatest to ever grace the racetrack, the Emperor, Symboli Rudolf, stands tall and proud. Her long brown hair flows gracefully down to her waist, darkening near her face and accented by a striking white blaze that streaks elegantly from the top. Adding to her regal aura, a large, ornate piece of jewelry dangles from her right ear. Her attire commands both respect and awe, embodying the militaristic style and color scheme of the Symboli family. She dons a dark green jacket adorned with numerous medals of achievement, with silver buttons lined up in perfect uniformity. An epaulet graces her left shoulder, complemented by a flowing red cape that adds to her imperial presence. The sleeves are embellished with golden patterns and unique markings, a variation of the designs seen throughout the Symboli family. To further continue the Symboli lineage, she wears a large custom belt with a prominent silver centerpiece. Downwards, she wears a dark green skirt with elegant ruffled hems. A dashing performer who never hesitates to take another runner gently by the hand. You won't catch her flirting, however. Instead, she helps her dear ponies in her capacity as leader of Ritto Dormitory. As a runner, she hopes to captivate audiences just like her mother, a stage actress. Her ultimate stage: the Triple Crown. Fuji Kiseki has a short black pixie cut, parted to her left. She has a black ahoge on the top of her head, and a white strip of hair on the edge of her bangs. Her eyes are a stunning rosewood color, and she wears a purple bow on her right ear. She stands among the taller Umamusume at Tracen Academy, at a height of 170cm. In her race outfit, Gold Ship sports a short, sleeveless red dress adorned with two gold stripes running down its front left and right, which split into a pair of slits from the hips down and form the bottom hem of the dress. Six gold buttons are found at her abdomen between these gold stripes. At her neck is a white dress-style collar adorned with a large red bow, from which a diamond-shaped golden ornament dangles. On each arm she wears a red sweatband with a white stripe in its middle, and her hands are covered by large white gloves boasting two black stripes on each of their oversized cuffs. Tied across her forehead is her custom red Hachimaki (鉢巻) proudly emblazoned with an emblem and the Fusa of Shimenawa (標縄) hanging on each side of her face. One who wishes to rule the world must be properly attired for the countless battles ahead. Sei!!! She dons a blazing red and blue samurai robe, adorned with Shimenawa ropes that separates the red into white at the hem. At its center is a striking blue Hiyoku featuring wave patterns—a motif closely tied to samurai tradition. Her shoulders and arms are protected by red armor plates. Beneath the robe lies a red dress bearing her emblem and cinched at the waist is an obi rope. Below the waist, her armor continues with protective plates covering her knees, shins, and feet. Her sleeves begin with copper embroidery that attach to a detached black puffy sleeve which extends to her elbow, where they transition to a white frilly opening that is orange on the inside. The remaining section of the sleeve is black and yellow stripes that tuck under white gloves that have faint golden decoration along the wrist. The chest is black with a golden stripe running horizontally across. The sides of the dress are a bright red, with a decorative golden trim along it's edges. Her shoes are different colors, one being black and the other being white, both include a golden decorative trim along the shoe's collar and tongue, along with a red gem at the vamp.

Although generally reliable in just about any situation, you probably shouldn't mention the notion of ghosts or thunder around her. Hishi Amazon has glossy blueish-black hair that reaches all the way down to her upper legs; she wears her hair loose for the most part, with a large bang that hangs down between her eyes being a noticeable feature. A silver hairclip sits at the top of her right sidelock, and she has two prominent strands of hair that stick out at the sides of her head, just below her ears. Her hair also seems to naturally part in the back, with the main portion splitting in half at her middle back to fan out into two distinct sections on either side of her body. Her ears have a deep mauve interior, and her left ear is adorned by a red tiger-striped cloth that is decorated by a golden crescent-shaped piece of jewelry, which itself has five small diamond-shaped charms hanging from its body. Hishi Amazon's skin is of a darker tanned complexion, and sports a prominent fang on the left side of her mouth. Her eyes are a fiery garnet red. Hishi Amazon's racing outfit features a multi-layered garment worn over a black tube top; her chest is wrapped on the right by a dark blue half-top, a white half-shirt with dark blue edge lines layered over it on the left, and the bottom portion of both halves secured by a dark blue ribbon. Her left arm is bare, save for a dark blue ribbon wrapped in a criss-cross pattern on her bicep as well as her forearm, and her right arm is clad in a loose white sleeve with a dark blue interior and edge lines similar to that of the left half of her top. Her right hand is wrapped in a blue ribbon that is identical to the one on her left, with a golden ring ornament on the back of each hand, with simple golden finger rings on the middle finger of both. Hishi Amazon's right thigh was wrapped by a thick leather band with a golden ring woven into the leather, evoking the imagery of a horse's saddle or bridle, and she wore deep blue running boots with high heels. A sporty girl who loves a good workout. Although born into the prestigious Mejiro family, her animated personality somewhat betrays that fact. She has something of an inferiority complex surrounding her childhood friend, Mejiro McQueen, and wishes to be as fast and pretty as her. Though physically strong, her heart is rather delicate. Mejiro Ryan's design depicts the vibe of someone who is sporty and practical. Spiky short brown hair that flows down with a white tuft that stands out at the center. She has uneven bangs that frame her face and her right ear is adorned with a metallic piece matching her color scheme and two piercings to boot. As with most Umamusume, her racing outfit is unique to say the least, but also much more simpler than most as well. She wears a cropped jacket, mixed with white and teal stripes, rolled up sleeves, and on one wrist she wears a golden bracelet and on the other a black bracelet with metal studs. Beneath her jacket is a stripey tied up shirt with the name "Ryan" on it. She wears high waisted black shorts that seem to be tied down by a unique looking belt. Both sides of her upper thighs seem to be wrapped by a brown belt with gold trims, and she wears practical and plain looking white racing boots.

A masked luchadora, she's always hyped up and ready to wrestle. She has ultimate confidence that she's the world's strongest Umamusume, and loves to proclaim that fact to anyone who'll lend her an ear. Her mask is a present from her pro wrestler father and she insists on keeping it on all the timeーno matter what. Taiki Shuttle has wavy golden-blonde hair tied back in a wild and messy ponytail by a star-shaped metallic-green hair clip. Her sidelocks curl and wave in a similar fashion to her ponytail. Instead of her ornament, a green star that matches her ponytail clip, being affixed to her ear itself, she has it pinned to her hair just below her right ear. Her ears have darker blonde interiors, and a slightly fluffy texture. Her round and expressive eyes are a sky-blue hue. Taiki Shuttle's racing outfit features a cowboy western aesthetic. A red scarf bandana is tied around her neck, with a brown rawhide Stetson cowboy hat slung over her back. She wears a bright green tied top over a dark green bikini top, leaving her shoulders and midriff exposed, with a pair of matching bright green cuffs sit around her upper arms to act as detached sleeves. She wears long brown leather gloves on both hands, the likes of which reach to her mid-forearms. A brown leather belt with silver edges and a silver buckle is slung around her waist; a brown leather half-skirt with fringe extends from the belt down her right hip. Opposite the half skirt is a leather pistol holster with a silver revolver in the sling (which is presumably functional, given her history of being a quickdraw champion, as well as her skill animation featuring her using the revolver to shoot a coin). Beneath the belt, Taiki Shuttle wears a bright green ruffled short skirt with white lace frills at the edge, as well as three white stars emblazoned on the left side of the skirt. She wears dark purple thigh-high stockings under a pair of knee-length brown leather high-heeled western boots. The boots feature criss-crossed dark leather lacings in 'X' patterns at the top, with long fringe frills right below them, as well as brass vamps. Taiki Shuttle's old design was largely identical to her current design, with the exception of her sleeve cuffs; in the original design, they were attached to her top, and had a broader line detailing at the top that formed a pseudo-collar on her top.

While cool and reticent, she remains tense in many social situations, especially if men are present. Though she was raised in the prestigious Mejiro household, where visitors are never rare, she has nonetheless led a very sheltered life. Perhaps because of this, she can come off cold to strangers, but those who take time to talk to her realize that she is not quite as uptight as she first seems. Mejiro Dober has very neat and tidy dark purple hair that is grown just past her back. A single teal hair clip pins her bangs to the left side of her hair. On her left ear, she wears an assortment of various teal ribbons, some with white accents, some with gold, and a bundle of de-saturated blue ribbons contrasts the bunch on the back. She has light lilac eyes. For her race outfit, she wears a simple short sleeve white frilled blouse, with a teal ribbon tied at the collar. Around her waist she wears a brown belt with gold accents, with multiple belt sections coming off the sides. Her thigh-length skirt is teal, and has white frills around the hem, and has a white and teal bow over her tail. Layered underneath this is another skirt with dark teal fabric and gold accents, also decorated by frilled white fabric. She wears white socks with teal stripes on both legs. Her shoes are short heeled boots with teal accents, black heels, and a white ribbon tied in the center.

A timid Umamusume, she is under the impression that any misfortune befalling those around her is entirely her fault, when really, it's just bad timing. Nevertheless, she is determined to eradicate this supposed jinx of hers. She loves reading picture books in her spare time, especially "The Blue Rose of Good Fortune". Rice shower has long ears, and dark brown, almost black, hair. Her hair reaches her mid-back, and curls up at the tips, and she has long bangs that are swept to cover her right eye. She has pinkish-purple eyes. On her right ear, she wears a dark blue bowler hat, with a blue rose as decoration. Her race outfit consists of an off-shoulder dress, with black lace around the bodice, and in the center, a blue rose. The base of her dress is dark blue with dark magenta sleeves. The sleeves flare out at the end with cutouts almost resembling the petals of a flower, and have decorative black trim. The dress' dark blue skirt has a scalloped magenta line going around the center, and the trim of the dress is decorated with the same black lace found in the bodice. Her tail has a very large, black, tail bow. She wears high-denier thigh-high stockings, decorated with black lace at the top. Around her waist is a brown dagger holster decorated with a silver rose, with a dagger inside the holster. For her shoes, she wears a simple black pair of heels, laced at the center, with decorative black ribbons on either side.

A bookworm who is a member of Tracen Academy's library committee. She has a quiet disposition, but holds a burning desire in her heart to be the heroine of a great tale. She's the type of person who does everything with ease, but doesn't stand out. However, when she won a race, her dream of becoming like the hero, Rob Roy, sprouted within her. Zenno has cool gray hair, tied into a braid that rests over her shoulder. She has blunt cut bangs, and a braid across her forehead, with two white clips consisting of two triangles on either side. Her ears are longer than most Umamusume, and have a de-saturated pink inside. She has a band of white flowers with blue centers around her right ear. She wears large glasses with thick black frames, and has downturned blue eyes. Her race outfit is very reminiscent of a Scottish folktale hero. She wears a dark green brimless hat on her head, with a gold medal on the side. Her outfit is dark green with gold trims, and consists of a long sleeved coat on top of a long skirt. Her jacket's cuffs are yellow with a dark green band around the center, and she wears a green and gold band around her right arm. Over top of her shirt she has a brown belt around her waist and shoulder with gold adornments. The belt holds a plaid and yellow shawl in place. Her dark green skirt has a yellow zig-zag pattern at the base, with a white stripe underneath, and the hem is decorated with white frills. She wears white knitted knee-high socks with green ribbons on either side. Her shoes are simple loafers with brown buckles, the left shoe being white, and the right is brown.

A mysterious girl who blends in with the shadows... and speaks with them. She can often be found sticking close to the walls, tracing odd patterns with her fingertips. According to her, however, she's always with her "friend." She enjoys sipping a nice cup of coffee, as gulping it down too quickly hurts her stomach. Cafe's most prominent feature is her long, jet-black, hair. The ends are cut perfectly blunt, with bangs framing her face. She has incredibly long bangs, swept to the side covering her left eye. Atop her head is a large curved white ahoge. On the right side of her jet-black ears, she wears a gold earring with a cylindrical teal charm attached to it. She has pale yellow eyes with a simple, yet eerie-looking, black pupil in the center. As for her race outfit, she wears a black knee-length overcoat with intricate gold embellishments on either side, and gold pockets. She wears a black long sleeved shirt underneath, with gold stripes on the cuff, and black gloves. Underneath this shirt, she wears a white collared shirt, tied by a yellow tie with black stripes at the end, two stars, teal and black, in the center. There is a simple black choker around her neck. She wears a black pleated skirt with gold decor, and white trim around the edge. There's a black belt with gold chains tied around her waist, over her shirts. On her legs, she wears black stockings, the right shin decorated with golden diamonds. She wears simple white loafers with black heels.

She's a simple girl from Iwate's countryside. Her family lives on the farm, and she often helps them out. However, she longs to live in the city and hopes to participate in the Twinkle Series to become a sparkling Umamusume. She's docile, but not frail, and has the guts of her northern upbringing. She longs to be like Gold City. Yukino Bijin's looks suit her simplistic country bumpkin personality. Her large round eyes are light brown, and she has a simple brown bob haircut, with her bangs pushed to her left. She has a braid wrapped around the backside of her head. She wears a white headband, with two white earmuffs to boot, the left muff has a pink lace pattern at the base. In her race outfit, the previously mentioned pink lace is now red. Around her neck is a white choker with a snowflake charm. She wears a white long sleeved dress with dark blue accents and simple floral patterns along the skirt and near her collar. The dress' collar is dark blue with white lace decor along the trim, and the dress is fastened with two rows of brown buttons down the center. On the top of either sleeve is two blue bands, and her lacy frilled sleeves are tied with a thin blue ribbon. She wears white gloves on either hand. Around her waist is a brown belt with gold accents, and tied to the belt is a white ribbon with blue chevrons acting as a background to a floral pattern. Her box pleated skirt has dark blue stripes along the base, with floral patterns above. The fabric under the box pleat has yellow and red vertical pleats, with a fluffy petticoat underneath. Her white boots have dark blue heels and brown X-shaped laces, with the same red floral pattern on the outside. The boots' top edges are folded inward, with a cream knitted pattern on the inside, adorned by blue bows on the outside, and frills coming out of the top.

"Sirius is the brightest star". She's a strong and confident Umamusume, who aims to conquer foreign countries. She is crude and foul-mouthed, but her strength and confidence give her a charisma that attracts many people. She hates lies and insinuations, so everyone knows that she means exactly what she says. In other words, she's a natural-born rascal. The proud and handsome Sirius sports deep brown hair styled with a distinct flair: medium-length at the front and top, framing her face in a bob-like cut with a few wild strands jutting out, while the back flows dramatically down to below her waist. Her bangs are slightly parted and lean to the right, featuring a prominent white star streak at the center, a subtle nod to her namesake. Her sharp brows complement her vibrant red, piercing eyes. She can only live on the edge, and tends to cut corners in tepid situations. An old-fashioned people person who often hangs out in back alleys with strangers eating Horumonyaki. Nakayama Festa has medium-length disheveled brown hair. She wears a gray beanie with two holes cut out for her ears, and the beanie has two golden triangles on the right brim. Around her right ear, she has a simple brown ring. She has magenta eyes with flat eyelids. Her race outfit consists of a torn red shirt with two horizontal white stripes on the center, and a pair of gray ripped jeans held up by a black belt. Around her neck is a silver necklace with a single die charm in the center. She wears a long blue coat to complete the ensemble, it has elbow-length sleeves with two black belts on each arm. She wears black fingerless gloves on both hands. Her shoes are simple black and gray sneakers with white soles.

She's an honest, good, and ordinary Umamusume. She admires Maruzensky, and is working her hardest to be her rival. Everyday she records her daily insights in the form of original proverbs. On her right ear is a ribbon tied with green rope, decorated with a large pink sakura flower, and a smaller, dark pink, sakura flower. She has light blue eyes. Her race outfit resembles a yukata[1], however it is sleeveless. The kimono's collar is black with white dashed lines at the trim, tied in the center with a white bow and a dark pink flower in the center. The kimono's sash is dark magenta, the same color as her hair, tied with a black bow, and a small green ribbon in the center. She wears a white pleated skirt with two distinct pink lines at the base, and black ruffles, cut in the pattern of a cherry blossom sleeves. The skirt has cutouts in either hip, decorated with white flowing ribbons. The sleeves of her kimono are detached, and are pink with a white floral pattern, and a black trim. Underneath she wears black full-length fingerless gloves. On her legs, she wears a pair of white tights, with intricate cutouts resembling falling sakura petals. Her running shoes are black sandals with pink toe-posts, and a pink cherry blossom flower in the center.

Ephemeral, gentle, thoughtful, the cloistered daughter of a noble family. A fragile body, "legs of glass", not built for the rigors of racing, some say… but she has no intention of letting that stand in her way. After years of ill health and isolation, Mejiro Ardan finds the social side of life at Tracen Academy most invigorating. Mejiro Ardan has long, light blue hair, styled in loose waves at the end. She wears a crown braid atop her head, and has blunt cut bangs, parted primarily to the right. On her ear, she wears a teal cuff, lined with golden trim, and attached to it is a pleated red ribbon. She has purple down turned eyes, showcasing her gentle demeanor. She wears a black dress, adorned with white ruffles both along the neckline, and down the center of the dress, with a golden horseshoe with a circle in the center where the two pieces intersect. It is held up by two teal ruffled straps. Around her waist is a black sash with gold trim, tied at the center with a small red ribbon. The skirt of Ardan's dress is asymmetrical, the left half sporting a thigh-length black skirt with ruffles at the end, and the right side, a white underskirt with teal ruffles and stripes around the base. Around her tail is a light teal ribbon, cut into a scallop pattern at the ends. Despite the dress exposing her shoulders, her right sleeve is long, with a yellow tassel tied around her upper arm, and has a teal stripe down the center. This sleeve has a white ruffle at the end, along with a black glove underneath. Her left arm is bare, aside from a white glove tied with a thin golden ribbon. Both of her shoes consist of white boots with a black base, and teal ribbon tied up her leg. However, her left shoe is ankle-height, and her right shoe is knee-height.

A class representative who'll rush recklessly into any situation. Once her mind is set on something, she'll bakushin dash straight to her goal—often causing more chaos than she helps resolve. She never acts out of self-righteousness, however, and tends to feel downhearted if no one is asking for her assistance. Her aptitude for sprinting is quite overwhelming, and she is confident she can outrun anyone with unmatched speed. Ms. Bakushin sports a polished high ponytail, with her hair parting slightly to the right in an asymmetrical style and two sleek face-framing layers gracefully fall on each side of her face. She wears a golden headband shaped like a subtle crown, a regal touch and a purple ribbon adorns her ear. And unique to her, striking pink eyes resembling the petals of cherry blossoms. Her outfit begins with a militaristic, sleeveless pink and white top with rows of gold buttons/decals down the front and it cascades or sprouts out on the sides and back like a flower. A tie, reminiscent of those found in certain school uniforms extends into a mini cape at the back. Golden epaulettes are worn on the shoulders adding further regality to her appearance. She wears mismatched gloves—one black and one white—on each hand, a little playful asymmetry. Her black shorts are accented with a crisp white trim near the hem and are complementing by the white thigh-high socks, each topped with pink accents at the band and diamond pattern silhouettes on the side. Her mismatched boots—one black and one white—mirror the gloves but are swapped in color placement and feature pink buttons and a strap design.

She's very selfish, and when she starts to cry, it's hard for her to stop. Sweepy, the most adorable and undeniably powerful magical girl in all the lands, is as captivating as her legend. Her striking violet eyes shimmer with an ethereal brilliance, their piercing gaze capable of humbling even the strongest souls. Her sharp, commanding eyebrows deliver judgment with an authority that no hapless trainer can escape. The doublet is primarily blue, with gold accents lining the hem and the zipper in the middle, going up to her mid-neck. She also wears a brown corset that sits right under her sternum. Over her top, she wears a white vest with blue and black accents. The cuffs on the vest are black and lined with white that goes all the way around to converge into a small diamond near the point. The main body of the vest is white and lined with black accents. The neck of the vest is high and black and white striped. On the back of the vest the blue is featured more prominently, with the back of the sleeves being light blue and the pattern on the back of the vest being a similar color. Godolphin Barb has a soft pale complexion, with eyes that are usually closed shut. However, when they're open, they are a vibrant blue. She has a light cobalt-blue hair and tail, with both fading to a bright teal at the end. She wears white and blue striped futuristic ear covers, with blue glowing lights at the base. On her right ear, she wears a light blue swirled metal band with a pearl at the end, and three triangle-shaped decorations on the spiral. Her hair is parted down the middle, with messy bangs that frame her face, and a small glowing blue bead tying her side bangs into a low ponytail, resting on her shoulder. She wears a dark blue track jacket with a tall collar and white striped decor, with the left sleeve hem being blue, and the right side being white. The zipper is a golden horseshoe with a blue gem in the center. She wears a pair of black shorts with a white horseshoe-adjacent stripe pattern on the right leg. She wears black socks with simple blue tennis shes and white laces, with white soles and a glowing blue strip at the base.

Cared for and beloved by the entire country, she lit the spark for the first ever racing boom. She now performs as an idol, hyping up her fans as she always has. Her heart is both pure and strong, tough enough to overcome any hardship that may come her way. In her racing days, she was an iron woman, earning her the title 'Little Miss Monster'. Haiseiko's hair is a light terracotta, styled low and wavy with up-drafting curls. A small patch of cream is visible just in the center of her hair, at the forehead. Both of her ears are adorned with white covers bearing a blue-and-white alternating patterned band at the base of each, along with a ribbon using the same design on her right ear. Haiseiko's eyes are wide, and pink with subtle yellow highlights. Haiseiko's racing attire is made up of plum-colored dress she wears, along with other various accessories such as the white apron draped atop of it, the cream-like gold belt at the waist bearing a large ribbon at the back of the apron, just above the tail, double-breasted buttons in the same color, and a gold ribbon just beneath the collar, also accompanied by small multicolored roses at the base of the ribbon. The dress additionally has two pockets at the front, and is ruffled at the hem. The sleeves are short and ruffled as well, exhibiting a slight puffiness. The pumps she wears are heeled and off-colored, with the right shoe being white, and the left one being the same plum color as her dress. She wears a plum-colored glove and a pearl bracelet on each hand.

Junko Hosoe is based off of the real-life horse racing commentator, and retired female jockey, of the same name. She also takes on her likeness in appearance. Junko is depicted to have a mature face with gentle upturned light blue eyes, and wears pink lipstick. Her short black hair is swept to the right, with the left side remaining short. She wears a royal blue blouse, with a gold pendant on the right shoulder, and a large pearl necklace. She has a white form-fitting skirt on top of black leggings, with a pair of royal blue heels with two pearls on the top.

She's the creator of the "Grand Live Reorganization Project", and the event producer leading the project. She has an unparalleled passion for "Grand Live", and is working hard to make her dream a reality. She used to be a student at Tracen Academy, and devoted her adolescence to racing. Light Hello is an older Umamusume, with fluffy medium-brown hair that reaches her shoulder. On the left side of her bangs, she has two golden hair clips. On her left ear is a cuff made of white lace. Her down-turned eyes are a soft pink, fading into a light orange. Around her neck is a golden necklace with an oval ruby in the center. Her outfit consists of a light teal button-up top, with a white pencil skirt held up by a pink belt. She wears a pair of light teal flats that match her shirt.

She is the founder of "Project L'Arc," a program that aims for a Japanese team to win the "Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe". Mei is a member of the URA's Tracen Academy enhancement division, and is close friends with President Akikawa, as if they were sisters. She has previously attempted to win the "Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe" with other participants, and the knowledge she gained from that experience lives on in her. Mei has messy short blonde hair, and wears a yellow and white baseball cap with Tracen Academy's logo front-and-center. Her cap is decorated with a golden ring on the left side, and three brown and teal buttons on the right side. She has short and thick blond eyebrows, and light yellow eyes. Mei wears a white hoodie with a dark brown shirt with several holes and tears on it on top. Atop of this, she wears a yellow jacket, decorated with brown hems, and brown stripes down her sleeves. On her back is a large yellow backpack. She wears a pair of brown shorts, and has lime green ankle socks underneath her yellow, white, and brown tennis shoes.

The announcer in charge of giving play-by-play updates on the "Twinkle Series" races. Misato Akasaka has de-saturated shoulder-length green hair that flares out at the ends. Her hair is parted down the middle, exposing her forehead, and she has bright green eyes and small but thick eyebrows. Atop her head she wears a black headset, with a microphone attached. Her outfit consists of a simple white button-up blazer, adorned with a green ribbon, and an orange pencil skirt. She wears a pair of orange-tinted tights, and dark brown loafers.

Montjeu has beautiful light reddish-orange hair, styled in shoulder-length thick curls, and a large ahoge coming from the top of her head and her large bangs are primarily swept to her left. She has a white diamond marking in the center of her bangs. Her ears are scalloped down the sides, almost resembling ear fluff. Atop her head on her right ear, she wears a dark blue hat, resembling a bicorne[1]. The hat has pink fringe at the top, and is decorated with a multicolored ribbon, red at the top, white at the ends, with golden lines in the center. She wears blue eye shadow and thick black eyeliner on her eyes, and she has light yellow pupils. As for her racing outfit, she wears a form-fitting sleeveless top, with one half being navy blue, and the other half being dark blue. It is decorated with pink lines, and incredibly elaborate gold trimming. Around her neck she wears a red ascot ribbon decorated with a blue diamond in the center, and a red cape with gold trim. She wears navy blue pants, also decorated with very fanciful gold trim and the same dark blue color as her top. Down the sides of the pant legs are slits with white fabric underneath, connected at each side with "X" shaped lacing. On her left had, she wears several golden rings, and on her right, a full-length black sleeve, accompanied by a thick golden bracelet. She wears white flats with red toes, and golden decoration found throughout.

She's a legendary Umamusume, and is also known as the "World's Strongest". People say that her running captivates all who see her, and people still talk about the time she won the "Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe" after sweeping all the runners away with her amazing spurt at the final stretch. When she's enthusiastic about a race, she tends to slip up on her words, but that's one of her charms.

She came to Tracen Academy from URA with a passion in her heart. Her monotone voice, and her hesitancy to make adjustments may make her seem cold-hearted at first glance, but she cares about Umamusume more than anyone else. While she excels thoroughly at her job, there are rumors that she's not very good at sports. Riko has black hair, with a dark blue tint. Wavy and a bit unkempt, it falls messily falls down her back, accompanied by her slightly unkempt blunt-cut bangs. Her eyes are a warm gray, and she seems to wear a permanently determined expression. On her human ears are two gold earrings, a charm at the end shaped like the letter "V". She wears a dark gray two-piece suit, the jacket being patterned with golden pinstripes, golden buttons, an intricate silver lapel pin, in the shape of a gross. She wears a white collared button-up shirt, the collar decorated with a vague floral pattern. She wears a black belt with a simple golden buckle, and a pair of black flats.

She's a talented and cool-headed producer with a passion for entertainment. She and her partner, Sonon Elfie, launched "U.A.F." (Umamusume Athletic Festival), an all-rounded sports tournament for horse girls, and is the lead of operations. Her intentions behind hosting "U.A.F." seem to be secret. Ryoka is a human woman with de-saturated purple hair, styled into a ponytail that sits on her left shoulder. She has bright purple down-turned eyes. Ryoka wears orange triangle earrings on either ear, as well as a black bracelet on her right wrist. Her outfit consists of a white ruffled blouse with navy blue trim and gold buttons, tucked into a pair of simple black jeans. On her feet, she wears a pair of black heels with a gold buckle in the center.

The first Umamusume to earn the Triple Crown. Born into English high nobility and raised in Japan, she understood her mission early: "Forge the path to noble glory." After accomplishing that in marvelous fashion, she stepped away from her career after just one year. She retired to her hometown, and currently supports the racing business.

She's an Umatuber who makes videos focused on athletics, who posts daily videos in order to share the joy of sports with the world. Elfie is popular for her videos that showcase her utilizing her physical abilities, as well as her enthusiastic and upbeat character. She is the mascot of "U.A.F." (Umamusume Athletic Festival), a brand new all-round sporting event for horse girls. Sonon Elfie is an Umamusume with long white hair. She has her hair styled in both a long side ponytail and a braid on the right side of her head. Her hair is parted down the center, with two large band-aids on her forehead. She has several different accessories on her head, an orange and yellow scrunchie holds her ponytail up, and she has two ear covers, a yellow one on her left ear, and a green on her right. She wears a pink headband with "XI" in bold white lettering. Elfie also has pale yellow eyes with a white pupil in the center. She wears a sporty outfit to match her incredibly athletic personality. Over top a dark brown cropped and tight tank-top is a loose-fit orange sweater with detached sleeves. The center of the sweater has a white triangle pattern in the center, and the sleeves have light orange stripes running down either side. She wears a pair of black fingerless gloves, each finger sporting pink rims. She wears black leggings with green stripes down either side, the left side of the leggings reach just below her knee, while the right side is cropped to above her thigh. She wears a light orange fanny pack, and a black knee guard on her left leg. Her left leg also has green and yellow band-aids on her shins. She wears black crew-length socks, each having a green and yellow stripe on the perimeter. She wears white and green sneakers, with yellow laces, and pink and yellow accents.

ST-2 (Sati) is a Mecha Umamusume designed by Sugar Lights. She is an NPC character in the scenario, Run! Mecha Umamusume, and trains beside umamusume, procedurally receiving upgrades throughout the scenario. ST-2 has three forms, as she is upgraded throughout the scenario. Her first form is very simplistic, and a bit blocky. She has a white rounded face with square light blue eyes. Her hair is designed to give her a teal bob with blunt bangs, and a teal ring around the outside of her head. She has a singular antenna on the right side of her head, and her mechanical ears are composed of vents with a royal blue trim around the outside, her ears connected by a white headband. She has a navy blue inside layer on her build, mostly prominent in her arms and torso. She has white plating on her lower arms, chest, hips, and on the entirety of both of her legs. She has a green gem in the center o f her chest. She has black "fingerless gloves" with white fingers underneath. All of her limbs are attacked with dark gray ball joints, and she has white feet with royal blue trims on the top. She has a white and blue metal "cape" on her lower back, with three large teal boosters in the shape of a tail. Her second form has the head of her final version, which can be found below, atop of the body of the first version. Her final form is a lot more intricate, with a more "humanoid" build, as opposed to a blocky one. She has a plain white human-shaped face with large green robotic eyes, and a nose, but no mouth. Her hair is bright teal, and has more intricate strands in comparison to her first form. She still has a ring around her head, but the tips are now dark blue. The headband that holds her ears is now larger, and her ears are now far more pointed, the blue trim has stayed, but her inner ears are now yellow. Her antenna has now become a pointed rhombus with a white tip. Her body is composed of mostly white paneling, with dark blue padding underneath, and glowing blue trims decorating the white panels. The green gem has now gotten wider, and takes up about half of her upper chest. She has two white glove modules with light blue and royal blue trims, and her gloves have black undersides. Her ball joints are dark blue, but now more hidden by her form. She wears a skirt that fades from dark blue to light blue, and is adhered to her form with white panels. Her legs are still mostly white, but have dark blue paneling on the thighs. Her feet are white with blue heels. She has a normal Umamusume tail that is bright blue, and two large jet boosters on her back.

The inventor of the full dive-type robot "ST-2" (Saty), and a scientist of exceptional talent. Having set the completion of the robot as her objective, she devotes herself to research day and night. Living with the aid of a wheelchair due to a past injury, she has apparently come to Tracen Academy to recruit assistants who will help out with her dream.
