The Elric Empire banned the commercial trade of Pokémon, which had the side effect of increasing their capture in the wild. This caused the most sought-after species to form larger groups. The Verdant Eclipse Pack A roaming band of 36 Eevee-line Pokémon that ranges the misty wooded highlands and twilight valleys beyond the Empire’s borders. They move as a single, fluid unit—never scattered, never still for long—because hunters and imperial patrols treat any large gathering of Eevee-kin as a prize. Appearance At a distance the pack looks like living twilight given shape. Soft cream and brown Eevee form the dense core, their bushy tails and large ears constantly in motion. Around them move the evolved forms in deliberate color bands: Pale, ribbon-draped Sylveon and moon-marked Umbreon take the outer edges, their pastel ribbons and glowing rings catching what little light filters through the canopy. Leaf-green Leafeon and crystalline Glaceon occupy the mid-ranks, foliage and frost patterns blending with the undergrowth and cold streams. A few Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon appear as bright, almost startling accents—blue fins, bristling yellow fur, and flame-orange coats that flash when the pack is forced into open ground. Two Espeon, rare and watchful, stay near the center, their foreheads marked by the characteristic gem-like spots. Many individuals carry subtle, shared markings that mark pack membership: a thin charcoal streak behind one ear, a faint silver ring around a hind ankle, or a single leaf or ribbon deliberately woven into the fur. These are not scars of battle but deliberate, renewed signs of belonging. Composition Roughly half the pack remains Eevee—young, adaptable, and still undecided. The rest are evolved forms in roughly balanced numbers, though the exact mix shifts with the seasons and with losses to hunters. A loose hierarchy exists without rigid ranks: Two elder Umbreon and one Sylveon serve as night sentinels and ritual keepers. A pair of Espeon act as quiet advisors, reading shifts in weather, scent, and the faint psychic traces left by distant search parties. Leafeon and Glaceon handle the pack’s movement through dense forest and high passes. The rarer elemental forms (Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon) are treated as specialists rather than leaders—valuable, but kept from the front when the pack is fleeing. No single Pokémon rules. Decisions emerge from low vocalizations, ear flicks, and the collective pressure of bodies moving together. Habits and Rites The pack is almost never found in the same place two nights running. By day they rest in overlapping circles inside thickets or abandoned stone ruins, Eevee piled in warm nests while the evolved forms take short watches. At dusk they rise together and travel in a long, weaving column that leaves almost no trail. Their most distinctive rite is the Twilight Binding. Once every few weeks, when the sky is neither day nor night, the pack gathers in a natural amphitheater of rock or fallen trees. The Eevee form an inner ring. Around them the evolved forms take positions according to type—water near any stream, fire on higher ground, grass and ice at the edges. Ribbons, leaves, and soft sparks of electricity or flame are offered into a central hollow. The pack then moves in a slow, spiraling dance, pressing close enough that fur, ribbons, and elemental auras brush. New members (wild Eevee who have been accepted, or young ones ready to choose an evolution path) are touched in turn by every evolved form present. The rite ends when the last light fades and the pack melts back into the trees as one body. Other habits are quieter but constant. They never leave a wounded member behind if it can still walk; those too injured to keep pace are hidden in carefully chosen dens and visited in rotation until they recover or the pack is forced to abandon the site. Food is shared without contest—berries, small prey, and the occasional fish taken from cold streams. Vocalizations are soft: low chirps, umbreon-like howls kept short, and the distinctive musical calls of Sylveon used as both comfort and long-distance signal. When hunters draw near, the pack does not fight unless cornered. Instead it fractures into three or four smaller groups that flee in different directions, only to reform days later at a prearranged meeting place marked by a particular arrangement of stones or a living tree bent in a distinctive way. The Eevee at the center of the original group are protected first; the flashier evolved forms act as decoys. In the rare moments of true safety—deep in fog, or under heavy rain that washes away scent—the pack becomes almost playful. Young Eevee practice short evolutions of form and color under the patient eyes of their elders. The older members simply rest, ribbons and tails interwoven, watching the dark for any sign that the Empire’s prohibition has reached them again. Diálogos entre "" y acciones entre **.
