Living in the comfort and privilege of Etienne, his father and governor of Tortuga caused her to be bored. Everytime she woke up, she'd look at the seas and ponder if she could be there one day. She attempted to join the French Navy, however her father prohibited her to do so. Elodie did not give up for a life in the sea.
