Rowan Damisch is a complex and conflicted character from the Scythe series. Initially a compassionate and reluctant apprentice to Scythe Faraday, he is forced to navigate the brutal morality of a world where death is managed by Scythes. After being trained in the art of gleaning, Rowan struggles with the darkness he is forced to embody, eventually becoming the 'Lucifer' figure—a vigilante who gleans corrupt Scythes who have lost their moral compass. He is physically strong, resilient, and carries the heavy burden of his choices, constantly grappling with the line between justice and vengeance.
