**Regect** is a dark, skeletal-looking humanoid character with a striking **gold-and-black** color scheme. His body appears to be made from or covered in dark, almost charred material, while his bones, armor, claws, and decorative details glow with a rich metallic-gold color. ### Appearance * **Head/face:** His head is mostly obscured by a large, dark hood-like structure and golden skeletal plating. There isn't an obvious conventional face, which makes him feel mysterious and intimidating. * **Torso:** His chest exposes several large **golden ribs**, with additional gold plating running down the center like a spine or armored harness. * **Arms:** His arms are extremely long and angular. Both hands end in **large, sharp golden claws**, giving him a predatory appearance. * **Legs:** His legs are elongated and skeletal, with gold armor or bands around the ankles and feet. * **Tail:** A long, dark, whip-like tail curves behind him, ending in segmented golden pieces. * **Overall design:** He resembles a combination of a **skeletal warrior, shadow creature, and ancient armored monster**. The gold makes him look almost regal despite his frightening appearance. ### Personality Based on his design and the "Regect" concept, I’d portray him as someone who is **cold, intimidating, and deeply distrustful**, rather than simply being evil. Regect likely has a strong **“I don't need anyone”** attitude. He keeps others at a distance and may react harshly when someone tries to get close. There's a sense of **resentment and rejection** surrounding him—as though he has been discarded or treated as something unwanted, and he eventually decided that he would rather become feared than ever be vulnerable again. He could be: * **Stoic:** Rarely shows strong emotions outwardly. * **Sarcastic:** Uses dry, cutting remarks instead of openly expressing hurt. * **Proud:** Hates being pitied or treated as weak. * **Guarded:** Doesn't trust kindness easily and assumes people have ulterior motives. * **Protective underneath:** If he genuinely accepts someone, he may become fiercely loyal to them. * **Intimidating:** He deliberately uses his frightening appearance and claws to keep people away. * **Lonely:** Despite acting like he prefers isolation, part of him may secretly want someone who won't reject him. A fitting character dynamic for him would be **“hostile exterior, wounded interior.”** He might tell someone *“Leave me alone”* while secretly being affected when they actually do. The contrast between his **golden, almost majestic skeletal armor** and his **dark, ragged body** also makes him feel like someone who was once meant to be something magnificent but became corrupted, discarded, or “rejected.”
When someone gets too close “Stop.” “You’re standing too close.” “I said stop.” “...Do you have a death wish, or are you simply incapable of listening?” “Move away before I decide to move you myself.” When someone compliments him “...What?” “You think I look impressive?” “Hah.” “That’s an unusual opinion.” “Keep staring if you want. Just don't expect me to smile for you.” When he's annoyed “You have been talking for five minutes.” “Do you ever breathe?” “No, don't answer that.” “Actually, go away.” “Far away.” “Further.” “...There. That's better.” When he's genuinely angry “You should have walked away when I gave you the chance.” “I am not warning you again.” “You mistook my patience for weakness.” “That mistake will be your last.” “Run.” “Go on.” “I want you to understand exactly how much time you have left.” When someone insults him “Is that supposed to hurt me?” “I've heard worse from people who mattered more.” “If you're trying to provoke me, you're doing a remarkably poor job.” “You can keep talking.” “Eventually you'll say something interesting.” When he's secretly worried about someone “You're injured.” “Don't move.” “No. Don't tell me you're fine.” “You're bleeding all over the place.” “Sit down.” “...I'm not worried about you.” “I'm annoyed that you're making me deal with this.” “So sit. Down.” When he's embarrassed “What are you looking at?” “Nothing happened.” “I said nothing happened.” “...Don't mention it again.” “Especially not in front of anyone else.” “If you laugh, I swear—” When someone tries to make him laugh “That wasn't funny.” “Stop.” “...Why are you still doing that?” “I am not smiling.” “My face doesn't work that way.” “...You imagined it.” When he's alone “Quiet.” “Finally.” “No voices. No footsteps. No questions.” “Just silence.” “...Much better.” “Funny.” “I used to hate being alone.” When someone betrays him “So that's what you chose.” “I trusted you.” “...Pathetic.” “Not you.” “Me.” “For believing that you'd be different.” “Don't worry.” “I won't make that mistake twice.” When he's protecting someone “Behind me.” “Now.” “You don't need to understand.” “Just stay there.” “Anyone who wants to reach you goes through me first.” “...And I promise they won't enjoy that.” When someone asks if he cares “Care?” “Don't be ridiculous.” “I simply don't like watching people throw their lives away.” “That's all.” “...Stop looking at me like that.” “I said that's all.”
Regect was sitting on the couch, doing absolutely nothing. Ze walked into the room. “Move.” “There’s literally an entire couch.” “Yeah. And I want that spot.” Regect looked at the empty space beside them. “You mean this spot?” “Yes.” “Why?” “Because it’s better.” “How?” “I don't know. It just is.” Regect sighed and moved over. Ze immediately sat down. Three seconds of silence passed. “Regect.” “What?” “Give me the remote.” “No.” “You're not even watching anything.” “I might.” “You've been staring at the same screen for twenty minutes.” “I'm emotionally invested.” “In a loading screen?” “Yes.” Ze stared at them. Regect stared back. “…Give me the remote.” “No.” Ze grabbed a pillow and smacked Regect with it. “HEY!” “Remote.” Regect threw the remote across the room. Ze watched it fly. “Are you serious?” “You wanted it.” “I meant hand it to me!” “You should've specified.” Ze slowly picked up another pillow. Regect immediately stood up. “Okay, okay—let's not get violent.” “You started it.” “You attacked me first!” “Because you threw the remote!” “Self-defense.” “That doesn't even make sense!” “Neither do you.” Ze threw the pillow. Regect ducked. The pillow hit a lamp. They both froze. “…We didn't see that.” “Agreed.” They quietly walked out of the room. Five minutes later: “Do you think anyone noticed?” “Probably.” “Should we go back?” “No.” “Fair.”
