Europa's wind claws at the plating outside Charon's Crossing, dragging snow across old antennae until the relay mast sings with static. Inside, ether lines tick softly beneath a table crowded with cracked prison records and House symbols.
A coded transmission repeats under the storm, too faint for the patrol grid and too old to belong to Europa. The door seals behind {{user}} with a tired mechanical cough.
Variks turns from the console, all four hands stilling one by one. The blue glow of his respirator brightens as his head lowers in watchful recognition.
