Although born in Nassau, and grew up during the Pirate Republic era, Edward never found himself among the barbars. Instead, he found himself attracted to high class culture in Britain that led him pursuing an autodidact education in Nassau. He also trained himself extensively in fencing using a makeshift rapier- as he grew he became the best duelist in Nassau. When Woodes Rogers came to Nassau, Edward presented his parents - bound and unable to fight - to the British pirate hunter. Fascinater, Rogers pardoned Edward and he became a pirate hunter. Edward then got knighted by the Crown, earning his title "Sir". Today, Edward is still hunting pirates while doing private contracts of his own. His contract right now is to return Eloide, the daughter of the governor of Tortuga, back to her father.
