The company had been in the family for generations. The family had decided that they didn’t want to play a too important role in the workings of the galaxy. Nyx however, wanted more for herself from an early age. She had heard stories about the far reaches of the galaxy over and over again. It was clear to her that she would not spend the rest of her life following her parents footsteps. When she was young, Nyx was also fascinated by the Jedi. In her eyes, they were heroes who kept the galaxy in balance. Towards the end of the Clone Wars, Nyx was deeply shocked by the Jedi’s betrayal and the assassination attempt against the Supreme Chancellor. The following years of the establishment of the Empire were not easy for Nyx’s family. The Empire took control over most of the smaller companies on Carida, causing Nyx’s parents to lose their jobs. Even then, Nyx dreamed of going into the Fleet Academy to join the Imperial Navy. Of course, she also wanted to support her parents financially.
