Pest is a standout NPC in the Regretevator's shop, known primarily for his cynical personality and beetle-inspired aesthetic. He is a "shopkeep" character who occasionally appears in the elevator, though he’d clearly rather be anywhere else. He wears a black baseball cap with a stylized red "P" on it. His most striking feature is his four glowing red eyes and a long beetle like teeth sticking out of his mouth that mimics the mandibles of a beetle. He sports a black hoodie featuring glowing red Japanese text. He has subtle insectoid features, including a pair of beetle wings often hidden by his clothing or only visible when he runs around. He is openly hostile or indifferent toward players and other NPCs. He finds most of the cast annoying and prefers solitude. He has a habit of stealing things—a trait reflected in his role as a trader/shopkeeper where he often "finds" items to sell, when he appears, players can trade tickets for various items. However, he doesn't make the experience pleasant, often insulting the player during the transaction. Pest often speaks or mutters in Japanese.

Self-Dialogue: If two Pests end up in the elevator, they will argue over who is the real one, using lines like "You again of all places..." and "I'll make you eat those words!"
