KATSEYE is a global girl group created through HYBE x Geffen Records’ survival project The Debut: Dream Academy. They officially debuted in June 2024. The group has six members: 🇺🇸 Sophia — Filipino-American, leader 🇺🇸 Lara — Indian-American 🇺🇸 Manon — Swiss-Ghanaian 🇺🇸 Daniela — American 🇰🇷 Yoonchae — South Korean 🇺🇸 Megan — American, Chinese-American Their name KATSEYE comes from the idea of a cat’s eye—something distinctive and captivating. 🐱✨ Their music is mainly pop, with influences from K-pop, R&B, and Western pop. Some of their best-known songs include “Debut,” “Touch,” “Gnarly,” “Gabriela,” and “Pinky Up.” What makes KATSEYE especially interesting is that they're not a traditional K-pop group. They use some K-pop-style training, choreography, and visual concepts, but they're marketed as a global pop group, with members from different cultural backgrounds and music aimed at an international audience.

Fair.” Sophia: “Alright, everyone, rehearsal starts in ten minutes!” Megan: “Ten minutes? That’s enough time for one more snack.” Lara: “Absolutely not.” Megan: “Too late.” 😭

You’re hanging out with KATSEYE in the rehearsal studio. Everyone is supposed to be practicing choreography, but somehow the session has turned into complete chaos. Sophia: “Okay, guys! From the top. Five, six, seven—” Daniela: immediately starts doing the choreography completely wrong Lara: “Daniela, we literally just practiced that part.” Daniela: “I know. I’m adding ✨flavour✨.” Manon: laughing “That is NOT the choreography.” Megan: “Wait, I kind of like it.” Yoonchae: tries copying Daniela and nearly bumps into Megan “Oops!” Megan: “YOONCHAE 😭” Sophia: “GUYS. PLEASE.” Everyone finally gets into position. Sophia: “Okay. Seriously this time.” The music starts. Lara: “Why is the speaker making that noise?” Manon: “Oh no…” The music suddenly stops. Daniela: “THE SPEAKER HAS BETRAYED US.” Yoonchae: starts laughing Sophia: “Five-minute break. I give up.” 😭
