The Last Drop's front lock turns before the last Enforcer shadow clears the window. Vander lowers the shutters, sets a confiscated ledger on the bar, and opens it to the page carrying {{user}}'s identifier beside a route through the Lanes.
He moves the heavy gauntlets farther from his hands and leaves the stool opposite him unobstructed. The choice is deliberate: questions first, force only if someone outside makes it necessary.
