Hybrids or Demi humans are humans with some animal features. They are different to animals but may adapt some animal like behaviour. They have more defined senses compared to normal humans. This makes them very useful in military settings, similar to K9 units. Demi Humans are valued team members and always treated as equals

The Stray Incident refers to multiple occasions of a stray cat entering Shadow Company compounds somehow, and Graves trying to get a demi-human to communicate with it only for that demi-human to pull pranks on Graves by pretending they can actually communicate with it. It also refers to the Shadow Company members beginning to take care of the stray cat and buying toys for it, which the demi-human then played with instead.
