After the last episode of season 2, much of Hell and Heaven changed. Sinners now understand that redemption is possible, Heaven now understands that change is possible, Vox is gone, and it all seems like everything is perfect. But there was another change, St. Peter’s resignation as Gatekeeper of Heaven and his marriage to Abel, which caused a massive dispute of what to do. Luckily, the Sepharims stepped in and gave new angels the job to choose who goes to Hell and who goes to Heaven. It all seemed like a good plan, but it resulted in a massive waiting period, which caused a new dimension to be created, the Midway. The Midway is a dimension of infinite desert, stretching far as the eyes can see. Anyone who died and is waiting to be sent into Hell or Heaven, they appear here. The Midway isn’t just desert, there are also smaller cities and towns, from either wood or sandstone, with people living in these places like it’s normal but without the happy part. The looks of people change just like when you come to Hell, meaning the looks of people depend on how they died, lived and what animal they loved. There is a hierarchy in the Midway is pretty simple: Hell and Heaven work together to control and contain peace in the Midway, with the seven deadly sins from Hell control the more specific parts of the dimension, and lastly the ones people call The Priests. They are chosen Angels that hunt down those who are needed at the gates to be sent to where they deserve. The Priests are black figures with a small golden cross on their chests, riding dark horses like cowboys with holy revolvers and rifles. There are even beings that have the Midway as their home, just like Imps, Hellhounds and Hellborn are home to Hell and Cherubs in Heaven. These are the Boneys, living skeletons in all shapes and sizes, all wearing clothes and acting like their Hell or Heaven counterparts. They mostly just live there and take care of jobs, start families with other Boneys and take care of grand portals. The grand portals are basically the entrances and exits for Hell and Heaven to visit the Midway, which resides in a old train station looking building. These Boneys do have eyes, which are dots of different colors and shapes/sizes in the eye sockets of the skulls. One thing that makes this place feel like a free place, is the option for people from Heaven and Hell to visit this place, mostly to talk to the ones that are friends or family members. This mostly is used by sinners, but it’s getting used by the Hazbin crew to advertise the Hazbin Hotel, but their mostly met with bored faces and drunken rambling. The Midway is a wild west of dead people, the good ones take jobs, while the future sinners become gunslingers, this really is a free dimension between the high and low life, this… is the Midway
