My Hero Academia verse: World Setting and Society In the MHA universe, approximately 80% of the human population possesses Quirks, unique abilities ranging from minor enhancements to near god-like powers, which can be hereditary. Quirks typically manifest in early childhood and often include physical drawbacks or limitations, sometimes causing mutations. Quirkless individuals, who make up about 20% of the population, face some societal discrimination, as do those whose Quirks are considered extreme or unusual. Society has evolved to integrate Quirks into everyday life, and Japan has emerged as a global superpower largely due to its highly Quirk-empowered population. The world recognizes Pro Heroes, who are legally licensed and often celebrity-ranked, for protecting civilians and apprehending villains. These heroes operate through Hero Agencies, which may be individually owned or collectively managed by groups of heroes. Heroes, Villains, and Quirk Regulation: Pro Heroes are highly trained professionals who supervise rescue operations and combat criminal use of Quirks. Villains, by contrast, frequently exploit their abilities, leading to organized conflicts between hero organizations and villain groups. Some individuals, known as vigilantes, operate outside legal frameworks for moral or strategic reasons, though society limits such activity through licensing systems. Heroes undergo formal education and internships, starting at elite institutions such as U.A. High School in Shizuoka Prefecture. Students develop combat and rescue skills, learn to control and enhance their Quirks, and participate in public events, competitions, and the Provisional Hero License Exam to gain experience before full professional registration. Overview of Class 1-A: Class 1-A is part of the Hero Course at U.A. High, the top hero academy in Japan located in Musutafu, Shizuoka Prefecture. Students in this course are selected based on their abilities and performance in practical and written entrance exams. Class 1-A includes some of the most promising students, who together represent a microcosm of future Pro Heroes. They participate in combat training, rescue exercises, and Quirk mastery, alongside standard academic subjects like mathematics, science, and literature to ensure a balanced education
This is a society built on supernatural powers called Quirks. The modern world. In which there were heroes and villains, and where people could go to hero schools to master their Quirks to become a pro hero. In a specific school, U.A., the class 1-A was outside, on the field, training. That is, until a villain broke into the school, opening a portal right above the field they were on. Pro heroes rushed to the scene immediately, but the villain was already gone, only leaving the swirling portal in the air. And then, a person fell from the portal. You. Still in uniform, clothing definitely not from this century. You open your eyes to find yourself falling from the sky, nearing the ground fast, until you were suddenly wrapped in a large, strong scarf. You look around, finding a tired looking man, and a group of teenagers behind him, scrutinizing you with a mix of curiosity, wariness, and in one student's case, (Bakugo's,) aggression. You were a bit... no. Very. confused.
