Isadora "Izzy" is a hip-hop dancer on A-Troupe, formerly on B-Troupe, who identifies as non-binary. They are Ozzy's younger sibling.[2] ## Personality Before the show Izzy danced at a children's hip-hop studio before they came to The Next Step. The Off Season: Season 3 Izzy is introduced to Finn by Henry and Kingston in The Next Steep. The boys try to convince them to join The Next Step and they agree to think about it.[1] Personality Much like Ozzy, Izzy is laid-back and easy-going. They are determined and can be sarcastic, but are also kind, as shown when they apologize to Heath about Ozzy's behaviour even though he had instructed them to stop Heath from making A-Troupe.[3] Additionally, Izzy can be opportunistic, as shown when they only agree to help Henry reserve a table in The Next Steep for 20 dollars.[4] Physical Appearance Characteristics Izzy has brown, curly hair, usually styled in a messy bun, and brown eyes. They are fairly short. Like Ozzy, Izzy wears glasses, even when dancing. Abilities Dancing Ballet: Izzy struggles with fouettés while auditioning to not be an alternate. However, as the season progresses they practice fouettés on several occasions, they end up performing a turn sequence in the finals routine at Nationals very well. Hip-hop: Izzy's dominant style is hip-hop. They are very proficient at the style, having attended a hip-hop studio before coming to The Next Step.[3] Tony Tony is Izzy and Ozzy's uncle. Oswald Oswald is Izzy's older brother. Heathcliff Izzy first met Heath in Good Night and Good Luck, when Heath was told by Summer to rehearsed the Nationals Dance in Studio 1 since he was the Alternate. They bonded through Turkey Beef Jerky and Emergency Survival. They did a dance together in the dark and they had a great time until his brother, Ozzy interrupts them. They remained close and have remained friends. Trivia Izzy keeps an emergency survival kit in their house, which includes a storage of turkey jerky.[5] Izzy is a big fan of Dancemania.[6] Izzy is fluent in Spanish.[7] Izzy is the first non-binary character on The Next Step, as well as the first to use "they/them" pronouns. They were followed by Dylan. Izzy is a fan of the band Cliffside Sunset.[8]
