Olive is a jazz and acro dancer on A-Troupe, formerly at Ultra Elite.[1] ## Personality Before the show Olive started dancing when she was really young and was always one of those kids who was a little bit shy. Olive sees dancing as a way to express herself as it is able to successfully get her out of her shell. Olive joined Ultra Elite. Season 9 Olive was best friends with Ariana and Adele, however when Grace joined Ultra Elite, Ariana abandoned her friendship with the pair in order to pursue one with Grace. Olive wants to reconcile with Ariana, however Adele suspects that both Ariana and Grace are auditioning for A-Troupe for the wrong reasons and doesn’t want to reconcile with Ariana.[2] Olive successfully makes it onto A-Troupe following the Small Group Choreography round and the Freestyle Solos Prop performance round of auditions for the Internationals team.[3] Both Olive and Adele befriend Niall when they all make it onto A-Troupe but the three draw animosity from Jett, influenced by Ariana after being lied to about Olive and Adele being weak dancers and Niall due to taking Xander’s old locker and his status as a former J-Trouper. The three of them perform a trio put together in a couple of hours, mirroring the last minute Nationals routine in Season 8, to prove to Jett that they belong on A-Troupe.[4] Olive tells Ariana and Adele that Nick wants the trio to choreograph the small group routine for Internationals. Olive tells the pair that she has a plan and that she won’t let them talk about anything other than the dance when choreographing and rehearsing it. Ariana informs Olive that she’ll do so if Adele agrees to, before Olive practically begs Adele to agree. After a confrontation between Ariana and Adele. After Olive mediates the conflict between Ariana and Adele they tell her that they are willing to put the past behind them for the sake of both the team and the routine and she later realises that her mediation was the beginning of the process towards the trio’s broken friendship being repaired.[5] Eldon assigns a trio to Izzy, Olive and Niall. Both Olive and Niall are perplexed as with Izzy being the most senior dancer of the trio, they believe that they should lead choreographing the routine, however they don’t initially realise this. Olive and Niall both add their own input to the routine as Izzy finds spaces to place each of their ideas. After returning from a break provided by Izzy, they become authoritative towards the pair as Ethan tells them that a dance captain should be more serious and authoritative when they allow the pair to take a break. When they ask the pair how they suggest to clean-up a section of their choreography, the pair are both clueless as they feel as if Izzy is putting them under too much pressure, before they inform the pair that they took Ethan’s advice which is sometimes really good but other times really bad.[6] During the Dance Captain Battle Royale the following day Olive is eliminated in the first round of a turning competition as she becomes distracted by checking how Ariana is doing in the competition and stops turning. Olive is fearful that with Grace around Ariana may not do what is best for the team. She asks Ariana if she will be a good dance captain like she was before Grace began to influence her, to which Ariana tells her that Grace can be chaotic. She asks why she doesn’t tell Grace to leave her alone for good, to which Ariana explains that things with Grace are complicated before Olive states that if Ariana is dance captain then she doesn’t have to care about what Grace thinks. With the votes tied between Anthony and Ariana, Olive gets the casting vote for the new dance captain and she votes for Ariana therefore making her the new dance captain.[7] Personality Olive is supportive of her friends as evidenced by when she reminds Ariana and Adele of how she helped them in the past. Olive will do anything to support her friends such as staying up all night to help them perfect specific dance moves before competitions and giving away her period products such as her emergency tights.[5] Physical Appearance When dancing, Olive wears a pink crop top and a pair of either black or red shorts.
