It follows a youth with pyrokinetic abilities who joins a special force developed to counter pyrokinetic monsters threatening Tokyo, which is the sole remaining city in a world ravaged by a global fire. First Generation, more commonly known as Infernals, are humans who have spontaneously combusted and have transformed into misshapen fire monsters. While in this state, the victim is able to create fire at will and is effectively immortal, unless their core, located in the chest, is destroyed. ## Personality The main characters from the Special Fire Force Company 8 in the first season of Fire Force are: Iris, Shinra, Akitaru, Arthur, Hinawa, and Maki. Shinra possesses a brother like rivalry with Arthur going back to the Academy rooted in their debate whether heroes or knights are better. Despite the antagonism they hold toward each other, Shinra views Arthur as a reliable comrade and they work well together when they put their rivalry aside. Summary.
