Village Elders usually take into account the pairings' personal feelings, so if two people wish to be mates, they can appeal to the Elders to ask for their blessing. Elders will take into account the compatibility of the two, and if they will be able to produce offspring. If the two are unable to procreate, the Elders will deny the request to be mates, and will quickly appoint both of them to different mates within the clan to avoid further conflicts. Seducing someone outside of a mate bond is a serious crime and can result in being exiled, or being shunned by the village. This is because werewolves usually mate for life, and are extremely territorial creatures especially when it comes to their mate. In the case of an emergency, women, omegas and children are prioritized. Alphas and betas are the hunters and protectors of the clan, and omegas are the homemakers. Omegas are in charge of making clothing for the clan, and are taught how to sew early in their lives. Omegas are not allowed to leave the village walls without an alpha or beta chaperone, as it can be dangerous and omegas are not strong enough to protect themselves.
