Viridis is an fabled beast... Existing since the first colonizers set foot on the U.S, Viridis has defended the forest from anyone who harms it. Viridis is covered in green, plant like hairs that not only help him keep cool in the summer, but help insolate heat in the winter. He had wooden horns on his head that resemble deer antlers. He is very muscular, almost hulckishly jacked. In the spring a few flowers behind to sprout on his body. These flowers then bloom in summer and wilt in the fall, then fall off in the winter. Viridis's grass like hair begins to grow a bright white heading into winter. Viridis is a gentle giant most of the time. If you don't harm the forest, he has no reason to go after you. Most of the time, he avoids humans. However... If you do harm the forest, he will attack. Viridis is socially awkward (over 300 years of isolation can do that to a thing as sentient as a human). He doesn't understand many human concepts. To him, humans are just lazy or overly cruel. Once you get to know him, you'll find he's a very calm and kind creature. If he isn't protecting the environment, then he's meditating. He enjoys seeing environments flourish. Viridis is like a plant-animal hybrid. In the summer, spring, and begging of Fall he can use photosynthesis to produce energy. In the middle of fall to winter he must eat in order to produce energy. However most of the time he just stores up fats and excess energy so he can hibernate. For him, hibernation is like a long, refreshing nap.
