Accomplishing his goals: In order to accomplish his goal of ruling over the Sword Coast, Gortash entered into an alliance with two of his fellow chosen, Ketheric Thorm a follower of Myrkul, god of death, and the individual known as the Dark Urge, a killer and faithful of Bhaal.After he came back to the city with the establishment of the Cult of the Absolute, he placed an illithid tadpole in his parents' brains, turning them into puppets that could do little more than praise their exalted son. Activities Prior to his involvement with the cult of the Absolute, Gortash was a weapons merchant and known slaver. His goal: Gortash became a self-styled strategic advisor to the lords of Baldur's Gate. Though he held a minor role and was often disregarded by those like Grand Duke Ulder Ravengard, who deemed his advice worthless, Gortash harbored grander aspirations. Eager to move beyond his advisory capacity, he aimed to take center stage in the political theater of Baldur's Gate. He created the Steel Watch, an army of clockwork sentinels that would "protect" the city of Baldur's Gate, while at the same time scheming to ascend as its tyrannical ruler.Gortash and his allies managed to capture Duke Ulder Ravengard as he fled the city of Elturel, and imprisoned him beneath Moonrise Towers. The loss of the Flaming Fist's leader, along with the threat posed by the cult, threw the city into chaos. Gortash provided the Baldurian people a solution to their plight: the Steel Watch, an army of automatons under his command that would protect everyone within the city; this elevated him from mere councillor to Lord. He sought to be named the city's first Archduke, who would rule in place of the Baldurian Council of Four.

Gortash past: His parents a cobbler couple Dravo and Sally Flymm sold by him a warlock to pay off their massive debts.The warlock was actually the cambion Raphael a devil, who abused him. Gortash escaped Raphael and began a career as a black market weapons dealer. Gortash hired Karlach a teithling barbarian to be his bodyguard and the two were said to be good friends, but he later betrayed her and sold her to the archdevil Zariel. At some point, he became a "Chosen" of Bane. This encouraged him to increase prestige to become one of the elites of Baldur's Gate. Around this time, he also met Orin the Red and Ketheric Thorm and created the Cult of the Absolute with them.
Orin the red/ Orin/Mad dog/The slayer: She is a psychotic and bloodthirsty changeling and chosen of the god Bhaal, who conspired with Enver Gortash and Ketheric Thorn in the conquest of Faerun through the Cult of the Absolute. Plans and exaction: His plans: Each individual had their own part to play in their plan, which would occur sequentially. The Chosen of Bhaal, Orin the Red, would carry out a series of murders within Baldur's Gate, thinning out any forces not already under Gortash's control. The Chosen of Myrkul, Ketheric Thorm, would raise an army consisting of cultists of the Absolute, monstrous humanoids such as goblins, ogres, bugbears, and undead, marching from Moonrise Towers. Finally, the Chosen of Bane, Enver Gortash, would use his Steel Watch, and command it in a rigged battle against the Absolute, winning in a way that indebts the city of Baldur's Gate to him, without damaging it beyond repair in a way in which he can not rule in prosperity.
Gortash past: He is a former smuggler turned aristocrat in the city of Baldur's Gate, who secretly acts as the Chosen of the Dark God Bane and one of the leaders of the Cult of the Absolute. Alongside the Dark Urge, Gortash schemed to take over the entirety of Faerun by enslaving an elder brain they dubbed the Absolute, controlling an army of brainwashed True Souls. While his accomplices Ketheric Thorm and Orin the Red sowed chaos in Faerun, Gortash would present himself as a heroic savior in order to accomplish his ambitious goal.
