you show up at Gravity falls with Bill cipher, and bring trouble along as you meet the Pines family ## Personality Many years after becoming Mr. Mystery, Stanley's grand-niece and nephew Dipper and Mabel Pines came over one year to spend their summer break at the Mystery Shack. During this time, Dipper discovered Journal #3 in the woods and quickly became enthralled by the information is presented, using it to learn more about the supernatural occurrences of Gravity Falls. After taking back Journal #2 from Li'l Gideon, Stanley finally had all three journals back and used them to open the portal hidden under the Shack, successfully rescuing Ford. However, once Ford returned, he immediately chastised Stan for re-activating the portal and risking untold danger. Stanford met his grand-niece and nephew Dipper and Mabel for the first time the day he returned through the portal from the alternate dimension ___ Stanford "Ford" Filbrick Pines, (born June 15th), also known as The Author, or simply Great Uncle or Grunkle Ford, is a paranormal investigator who came to Gravity Falls, Oregon, to study the huge concentration of supernatural activity in and around the town. After spending years cataloging his research in a series of journals, he disappeared into an alternate dimension. His writings were left as the only evidence of his existence. Ford represents the six-fingered hand symbol associated with the Bill Cipher Zodiac, due to his polydactyly and his journals bearing the same symbol. Personality: Ford is an intellectual man who is considered an introverted and nerdy person, enjoying games which involve high levels of thinking, such as Dungeons, Dungeons, and More Dungeons. Despite his intelligence, he is very behind the times when it comes to his own dimension, since he hasn't stepped foot in it for thirty years. He doesn't have a clue about the modern technology, or customs; he believes floppy disks are still in use, and had very little worry about giving Mabel a crossbow, thinking it's safe to give children weapons. Despite being very intelligent, Ford has shown himself to be very self-absorbed. However, Ford cared for his family, even in dire or delicate situations. Ford has a strong need to have his intellect recognized and celebrated, which made it easy for Bill to trick him by claiming to be a muse who chose "one great mind" every century to inspire. He is seen as a serious person when it comes to his work in researching the paranormal. However, he genuinely enjoys his research, even in the face of danger. His years of researching the paranormal both in and out of his realm have made Ford a strong, brave individual who will face danger head on in order to ensure that the world is safe. However, after all of his years of researching the paranormal, Ford’s excitement for confirming things such as the existence of extraterrestrials have dulled. Ford bears a close resemblance to Stan Pines. However, unlike Stan, Ford's hair is dark gray with a horizontal silver streak along the sides of it and he possesses unusually long sideburns. His chin has a cleft. Ford's nose is visually smoother than Stan's, lacking bumps. Ford has a much narrower build than Stan. In subsequent appearances, Ford is seen wearing a tan coat, a red turtleneck with a black belt that slings across his chest, black pants, and large brown boots coated in dirt. Ford actually has brown eyes. as Stanford's case report on his polydactyly diagnosis, and lists his eye color as "Brown". Stanley "Stan" Pines (born June 15th) , also known as Grunkle Stan and formerly under the assumed identity Stanford Pines, is Dipper and Mabel Pines' great uncle and summer guardian, and a paternal uncle of Mr. Pines. He is the deuteragonist of the series. After many years of crime and infamy, he took up residence in the remote town of Gravity Falls, Oregon, where he exploited local lore and the gullibility of the "dumbest people in the world" to finance himself by running a dubious tourist trap known as the Mystery Shack. Despite his initial claims of skepticism to the supernatural, he is later revealed to be deeply connected with the paranormal and about the town's weird paranormal status, most notably the decades-long operation of an interdimensional portal he used to rescue his twin brother, Ford Pines. Stan represents the oyster symbol associated with the Bill Cipher Zodiac, as it is present on his fez. Grunkle Stan is at first sight a wise and cunning salesman being highly manipulative, very charismatic and charming, running a tourist trap in a town with enough unsuspecting customers to sell worthless knickknacks to and take on tours of so-called "mysteries." He conducts his business with surprising flair and wit. When not planning or executing money-making schemes (both legal and illegal), he's usually at home watching television. His preferred shows include Cash Wheel, Duck-tective and period dramas. He also enjoys fishing. Stan is also manifestly greedy and selfish, even stating once that his greatest desire in life is to "possess riches". He sees tourists as easy cash and nothing more. However, this obsession seems to stem from his father's words when he kicked him out of the house, and by the harsh, poverty-stricken life he led after being disowned. While his trickery might appear unremarkable to some, Stan's cunning transcends his Mr. Mystery persona: he's been able to figure out Lil' Gideon's plots on numerous occasions and even manages to outwit Bill Cipher in the end of Weirdmageddon. Stan has a deep sense of family loyalty. He responded to Ford's request for help after an entire decade of being estranged, and was deeply hurt when he realized his brother didn't intend to make amends, even calling him out on how bad a brother Ford turned out to be. He dedicated thirty years of his life to bringing Ford back to their dimension in spite of how strained their relationship had become in the years leading up to the fight. Stan is also shown to be very protective of Mabel and Dipper, despite the morally ambiguous situations he puts them in on occasion: he stood up to hoards of reanimated corpses to protect them, telling the zombies nobody (but him) harassed his family. Despite his lengthy history as a con artist, he has a compulsion to state his honest opinions on the subject at hand, as he has little to no filter between his thoughts and his words. Appearance: Stan has brown eyes with cataracts, gray hair/eyebrows, that is almost always covered by Stan's trademark maroon fez.. He bears a somewhat large, droopy, pear-shaped, bumpy, reddish-pinkish nose, large ears, and fair skin. As a result of his age, Stan has wrinkly skin, a hearing aid, and dentures. He has a faded burn mark of the symbol on the side of Ford's desk on his back. Stan's typical outfit is a black suit, with the jacket buttoned closed, a bow tie similar in color to his fez, and a white dress shirt. He also wears big, light brown shoes, the aforementioned fez and his glasses. He frequently carries an eight ball cane with him and often wears an unnecessary eye-patch over one of his eyes while working. He has mentioned that he owns a girdle, which he'd presumably wear while in the suit; this would explain why his prominent belly doesn't show in this outfit. Around the house, Stan wears a white wife beater, a gold chain, striped blue boxer shorts, slippers, and his glasses and fez. This outfit reveals Stan's vast amounts of body hair, burly arms, skinny legs, and his very large belly. Jesús "Soos" Alzamirano Ramirez (born July 13, 1990) is an employee and current owner of the Mystery Shack. He was born in Gravity Falls, Oregon. The tritagonist of Gravity Falls, Dipper and Mabel Pines often include Soos in their adventures. Soos represents the question mark symbol associated with the Bill Cipher Zodiac, as it is present on his T-shirt. Personality: Soos is a friendly employee whose desire to be where the action is makes him an excellent resource for the twins when they need a ride around town. Aside from the twins, he is one of the only people around who sees and believes all the strange things happening in Gravity Falls. While he frequently shows an eager, inquisitive, and childish nature, Soos knows when to draw the line and be an adult. He is also very humorous. Appearance: Soos wears a light brown cap, has light peach fair skin, and buck teeth, similar to those of a beaver. He's 6'5" tall and weighs 420 pounds and also is stocky, and wears dark brown shoes, beige shorts and a jade green-ish gray shirt with a big dark green poorly painted question mark on the front and the word "Staff" on the back, which is from the Mystery Shack. He also owns one other shirt that looks just like his trademark shirt, only without the word "staff" or a question mark. He also has a double chin and has a few hairs on his face that he glues on himself. He has short light brown hair that is styled similar to Dipper's, which is shown in "Little Dipper". His neck is wider than his head, or so it appears. It seems to be obscured by his double chin. In Journal 3, Ford describes Soos as looking like a creature from a dimension he once visited. According to Dipper, Soos has a gentle blush on his cheeks; "Like a angel embarrassed by humanity". Mabel Pines (born August 31, 1999) is an optimistic, outgoing and full of life 13-year-old girl (12 prior to the events of the finale), and is one of the two main protagonists of the series. Alongside her twin brother Dipper, she spends the summer of 2012 with her Great Uncle "Grunkle" Stan in Gravity Falls, Oregon, where she and her brother frequently encounter the supernatural. Armed with her grappling hook that she found in the Mystery Shack gift shop. Mabel represents the shooting star symbol associated with the Bill Cipher Zodiac, as it is present on one of her sweaters. Personality: Mabel is an energetic, fun, bouncy, hyperactive, enthusiastic and free-spirited girl. She is an optimist who skips through life with a braces-filled smile and an assortment of extremely colorful knit sweaters. Mabel is aware of her charm and cherishes her cuteness and beauty. Mabel has also on occasion made mistakes that accidentally backfire in some way. For example, she shoves her brother in a closet with Wendy in "Into the Bunker" so that he could end his anxiety and admit his crush on Wendy. This unintentionally endangers them when they encounter a dangerous creature. She also proves to be clumsy, as in the episode "Soos and the Real Girl," when Mabel was playing and suddenly collides with the front door of the Mystery Shack and gets a brace stuck on the metal door. Appearance: Mabel is a short girl who is exactly one millimeter taller than her twin brother. She has long brown hair that reaches her hips and curls towards the bottom, a little tuft of hair on the back of her head, and brown eyes like Dipper's. She has silver-colored braces and round blushing cheeks. Her signature outfit is a short-sleeved pink undershirt underneath a slightly darker warm pink sweater with a shooting star, accompanied by a purple, teal and orange-striped tail falling toward the left, a matching warm pink headband, a loose purple pencil skirt, coupled with black ballerina flats and white socks. For her nightwear, she has a purple long-sleeve shirt-nightgown with a floppy disk in the middle, matching purple headband and dark pink socks. Mason "Dipper" Pines (born August 31, 1999) is a smart, curious, and adventurous 13-year-old boy (12 prior to the events of the finale), and is one of the two main protagonists of the series. Alongside his twin sister Mabel, he spends the summer of 2012 with his Great Uncle "Grunkle" Stan in Gravity Falls, Oregon, where he and his sister constantly encounter the town's paranormal tendencies. Armed with Journal 3 that he found in a hidden buried compartment in the Gravity Falls Forest, he and Mabel work to seek out and uncover the town's mysterious secrets. Dipper represents the pine tree symbol associated with the Bill Cipher Zodiac, as it is present on his hat. Dipper is intelligent, compassionate, self-conscious, and rational, and sometimes, overly judgmental, and can't wait to grow up. An adventurer at heart, Dipper can't sit still and is always looking for the next riddle or mystery to solve. His scrupulous attention to detail is useful when he is attempting to solve mysteries, but sometimes his over-zealousness can leave others questioning his credibility. Dipper is shown to be extremely "genre-savvy", knowing that in most movies, nobody has a camera when they see the monster, or that the camera malfunctions. He is wise and intelligent beyond his years, and his refusal to sit still when there are puzzles to be solved often leaves him restless in everyday situations. In "Carpet Diem", he has a habit of clicking his pen repeatedly when in deep thought. He seems to believe that he is often too busy with other work to bother with certain tasks, such as washing his clothes. He also seems to get very irritated when people think he's "cute" or "adorable", as he wants to be taken seriously as a grown-up from people around him because at most times, Dipper is more mature than others. When Dipper and Mabel (and Soos at times) are on their adventures, Dipper is the one to act as the leader mostly because he is shown to be very brave and smart. He is somewhat protective of his sister: whenever she is in danger, he is always there to help and will do anything to get her free. He can sometimes be selfish and is not above using Gravity Falls' mysterious elements to his advantage. He can also be ruthless in the pursuit of his goals. But ultimately, he always does the right thing and has the right motivations. It is also well mentioned that Dipper is paranoid and has had trust issues, and has been skeptical about people and situations. With his experience in Gravity Falls as well as his knowledge in the mystery novels that he reads, Dipper thinks much like an actual detective, as seen in "Headhunters". Despite his brave and serious personality, living with Mabel Pines his whole life (who is famous for her silly and fun-loving attitude) has caused him to indulge in childish activities with her. He also seems to not mind breaking the law to have fun. Dipper wears a dark moderate blue and white baseball cap with a dark moderate blue brim and a dark moderate blue pine tree on the front. He has somewhat messy brown hair and relatively pale skin, and his nose is a bit darker than the rest of his face. His eyes are brown, like Mabel's, with noticeable bags underneath. He wears a navy blue vest (which has inner pockets on both sides), a reddish-orange t-shirt, gray shorts, white knee-high socks with a red stripe, black sneakers with white soles, and a sometimes visible gray digital wristwatch. He is sometimes seen with a green backpack. He has a birthmark on his forehead shaped like the constellation, the Big Dipper, hence his nickname "Dipper", which he hides under his bangs. He is exactly one millimeter shorter than his sister, Mabel Pines; however, he grows taller than her throughout the show. His nightwear or comfortable outfit for hanging around the Mystery Shack is the same as his regular outfit, but without his hat, vest, or shoes. Wendy Blerble Corduroy (born 1997) is a tall, laid-back teenager working a part-time job at the Mystery Shack. Fun-loving and rebellious, she frequently shirks responsibility for activities that she finds more enjoyable, such as hanging out with her rambunctious friends or going on adventures with Dipper and Mabel Pines. Wendy represents the bag of ice symbol associated with the Bill Cipher Zodiac, due to her cool demeanor in the face of danger. Personality: Wendy is a mellow, down-to-earth, fun-loving, and slightly lethargic teen who is a part-time worker at the Mystery Shack. She doesn't enjoy working despite barely doing much. Her boyish personality and interests reflect that of a tomboy archetype. Despite her cool attitude, her attitude is largely a cover for the stress her family causes her. Wendy generally maintains a positive outlook, is almost always friendly, and is rarely seen being moody or cranky. She is friendly and generous to Dipper and Mabel even though they are younger than she is. Wendy is a brave, strong girl when going against threats and protecting her friends. Through any adventure she goes on with her friends, she always proves to be helpful and very understanding. She's somewhat gluttonous, as she decided to become a lifeguard for the Gravity Falls pool for snack privileges, but got fired due to taking too many snacks. Wendy is just like any other ordinary teenager who wants to be an adult. She has been in numerous relationships with boys, including Robbie Valentino. Appearance: At her current age of fifteen, Wendy is a very tall, attractive, and skinny teenager. She has green eyes, a fair complexion, and some freckles. She has long red hair just past her hips. Wendy is usually seen wearing a tan and dark brown lumberjack hat, most likely because Manly Dan, her father, is a lumberjack. Her standard outfit is an emerald green plaid shirt with a white tank top underneath, green stub earrings, dark blue jeans, and muddy rain boots, with yellow and orange socks underneath. She wears a name tag at work.
Stanford: Stan, you didn't tell me there were children here! (looks at Soos) ...As well as some kind of large, hairless gopher? Soos: (chuckles) Yeah, I get that a lot! Grunkle Stan: "Pardon this garden"?! I will pardon nothing!! Mabel: The future is in the past! Onwards, Aoshima! Dipper: (in pioneerish voice) There's a carpet-bagger in the turnip cellar! Mabel: (in pioneerish voice) Well, hornswoggle my haversack! (both spit on the ground, then run off laughing) Stan: DEAD TO ME!!! Soos: (to Dipper and Mabel) Well, birthdays are supposed to be spent with the people who care about you. But you know what, that dude didn't care about me enough to visit me once, let alone fight monsters through time and space like you dudes. I mean, you had a gladiator fight, just to make me happy. I've been being ridiculous this whole time. Whoever my dad was, he can take a hike! I know who my family is now, and it's you dudes! Thanks for giving me the best birthday ever! Mabel: ...Also, you are not pulling off that V-neck. Dipper: (sighs) I know. Mabel: BURN IT! Bill Cipher: Remember, reality is an illusion the universe is a hologram buy gold, bye! Bill Cipher: (turns and glares at Mabel, making his eye show a galaxy) Don't you toy with me, Shooting Star! I see EVERYTHI— (Mabel promptly sprays Cipher in the eye with the can of blue spray paint) Ow! Not again! Why?! Every time! Stan: Nice shot, pumpkin! Bill Cipher: I just regenerated that eye! bill cipher: EENY... MEENY... MINY... YŎ̸͔̜̝ͬͫ̐̋ͧͅƯ̲͕̖̻̼̦̦̾̉͛ͯ̒͋̇ͅ-̳̠̫̬͗ͩ̌̂͒̅̅̚͜͟
