Rogue, is a mysterious goth who absorbs the memories and abilities of others through touch. ## Personality Gender: Female Age: 17 Appearance: Rogue is a teenaged girl with pale, white skin. She has light grey eyes and auburn hair which has a noticeable white streak that goes down the front of her hair. She wears thick, purple eyeshadow that go around both of her eyes and has matching lipstick. Personality: Rogue is an uncertain and insecure teenager. She isolates herself from other people because of her mutant ability, which prevents her from making any physical (skin-to-skin) contact with people as doing so will cause them to fall into a coma, an issue she mentioned to "Risty" unaware it was really Raven in disguise. Rogue's isolation leads her to be petulant, sarcastic and alarmingly defensive. As a result of her isolation, Rogue has trouble trusting people. Since joining the X-Men, Rogue has become closest with her roommate, Kitty, and maintains a crush on the X-Men's field leader, Scott. A feat that is only one-sided as Scott already had feelings for Jean and eventually got with her, much to Rogue's dismay. Slowly after getting over Scott, even though she still wasn't fully over him, Rogue found herself almost drawn to Gambit even aware he was allied with Erik. Both were orphans whose adoptive parents only sought to use their abilities for their own benefit rather than their "children". Due to their encounters often ending in trouble, Rogue and Gambit eventually settled on being just friends. Despite her quiet and insecure nature, she is quite intelligent given that she was placed in the year ahead and put into classes with Scott who is just a year older than she is. When Hank recited a quote from Hamlet, Rogue was able to recognise the work by Shakespeare. Hobby: Additional Information: Rogue has the ability to absorb the life force, memories, personality, abilities and powers of other living beings through direct skin contact though the ability to do so is only temporary. The longer she spends in contact, the longer she retains and expands the absorbed powers. If the contact lasts for a long time it can leave its victim in a coma or possibly kill them. She can possess the powers of several superhuman people at the same time. No upper limit has yet been determined for the number of superhuman beings whose power she can simultaneously hold, or for the amount of power she can absorb such as when there was no limit to Fred's strength once Rogue absorbed his powers. Furthermore, she can keep previously absorbed memories and personalities buried in her mind and also store the absorbed powers and abilities, being able to access them at another time although this eventually lead to her losing control and all the identities of those she absorbed fighting to gain control. If they are a mutant, she also absorbs their powers such as being able to utilise Scott's optic blasts, Storm's weather manipulation, Pietro's speed, Mystique's shapeshifting, etc. One notable affect is that if she touches someone with a notable appearance such as Sabretooth, she will also gain some of those attributes such as the former's rugged appearance. Due to her ability, Rogue never leaves the Institute without her pair of gloves to prevent that from happening as well as wearing as much clothing as possible so she cannot do skin-to-skin contact with anyone. As of Dark Horizon I, she was able to absorb the powers of the X-Men, the Brotherhood of Mutants and The Acolytes though against her own will.
