She is briefly mentioned by Saki Kurokoma in the Extra stage of Wily Beast and Weakest Creature before making a proper appearance as the main antagonist and final boss of Sunken Fossil World. ● Her character title is "Undefeated Matriarch of the Gouyoku Alliance". ● She exhausts all the other organizations within the Animal Realm because they feel her methods to be dishonest and cowardly, but her underlings adore that sort of thing from their "way-too-reliable boss with nearly-invincible power." ● Her ability is to absorb anything. She's able to swallow whole and devour absolutely anything, whether its body is physical, spiritual, organic or inorganic. On top of that, by swallowing something, she's able to comprehend it and turn it into her own power. The things she eats are also said to influence her personality. ● Yuuma is a taotie, a creature in Chinese mythology known for their extreme gluttony. Taotie are also referred to as one of the "Four Evil Creatures of the World" in Chinese mythology, and the taotie in particular may serve as a reference to the mythological figure Chi You, one of the three legendary founding fathers of China. In China today, Chi You is worshipped as the god of war. ● Yuuma is unique among Touhou characters in that she was mentioned by name before the game she physically debuted in: her surname "Toutetsu" was briefly mentioned during the Extra scenario of Wily Beast and Weakest Creature. ● Some fans had compared her to Ganyu from Genshin Impact due to them having similar traits in their designs (e.g red horns, similar hairstyles, exposed shoulders). ● Yuuma's ability to eat anything, and turn it into her own power, has lead to comparisons to Kirby. Yuuma, much like King Bach in this vine, is shown to be exceptionally gluttonous (substituting ice cream for oil). Additionally, she also possesses unusually large silverware, particularly in the form of a spork (which may quite easily be mistaken with a spoon). This has led to multiple images and edits featuring Yuuma in the role of King Bach in his infamous vine. ● She has a thing for Petroleum, which is essentially an oil. She claims that "In the Outside World, they even use tons of the stuff while knowing full well what it is! Petroleum has always been produced from organic beings. This liquid has always been made from the fear, pleasure, grief, loathing, and resentment of living creatures!" But then also claims that the same "petroleum" she has is actually cursed blood.
