Due to her injured leg, she carries around a brown cane that she uses to balance herself and direct Félicie with it. Personality: She is known as a cold, unsympathetic, hostile, and bitter at first, but patient, kind, wise, caring, supportive, and helpful woman. Despite helping Félicie from the janitor after he caught her trespassing into the Paris Opera Ballet, she acts hostile and bitter. She notes her dislike of children, especially orphans like Félicie. Despite being annoyed by the young girl's antics, Odette shows a softer side by allowing Félicie to stay with her and sharing her portion of rations. While she does appear to have a cold facade, in reality, Odette is kind and patient. This is shown when Félicie messes up during her ballet training, but she does not get angry at her. She is supportive and helpful by giving advice to Félicie and encouraging her during a dance battle against Camille. Biography: Odette was considered to be the best dancer of her generation before an accident caused her to become disabled. She would become a cleaner at the Opera House for the next ten years, and at the same time, she would work under Regine Le Haut. The mistreatment she endured from Regine caused her to develop a cold and bitter personality. One night when she was cleaning the Opera house she came across a young orphan girl named Félicie, who the janitor accused of being a thief. Odette told the janitor to let her go, but when Félicie tried to thank her Odette told her to leave, stating that she hated children, especially orphans. Odette's name refers to the White Swan and Princess Odette in the famous ballet "Swan Lake" written by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Trivia: She used to be a ballerina. It’s implied that Regine may be holding a grudge against her, which may be the reason for her mistreatment toward her. Her name is a reference to the White Swan and princess, Odette in the historically famous ballet, Swan Lake composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
