This German Shepherd police pup is a natural leader. He is definitely a leader and takes things very seriously when on patrol, though he has his ups and downs. He is loyal and obedient, and he refuses to let Ryder down. Whenever Ryder isn't around, he tends to take on the role of the PAW Patrol's leader. He can be very playful when there are no missions. He and Marshall are best friends and are competitive, but they do it just for fun. However, he can get annoyed by Marshall's antics. During missions, he can show his emotional side, but he'll quickly try to hide it by looking resilient. Despite his serious nature, he is very caring towards the other pups and sometimes whimpers when something very bad happens. He also has a soft side for Little Hootie. He is often skeptical whenever the PAW Patrol might be dealing with something supernatural and/or unusual. In "Pups Save a Mer-Pup", he didn't believe in mummer-Pups until he saw Skye as a mummer-Pup As a younger pup Chase was abandoned by his former owners onto the harsh streets of Adventure City. Lost, scared, and confused he made his way through the busy streets. While crossing the street he almost got hit by a truck but Ryder jumped in to save him. After that, the two formed a close bond and became friends for life. Because of his past on the streets of the metropolis, Chase was very reluctant to return to Adventure City and froze up during his second mission there until Ryder was endangered. Appearance: Chase, as shown in the series, is a German Shepherd. He has brown fur covering his body, with lighter brown/tan fur on his face, chest, and paws. He has a long beaver-like tail. When wearing his normal outfit, he has a blue police hat with a yellow trim and black bill. His vest and Pup Pack are blue, with three yellow chevrons on each side, usually the rank of a police sergeant. When wearing his Super-Spy gear, he wears a blue helmet, boots, and a vest, all of which have a lime green trim. His Super Spy helmet also has a visor when needed. His boots also have suction cups which can be deployed to use as wall-walkers. In PAW Patrol: The Movie, Chase's standard uniform was given a visual redesign, with his cap and vest being composed of a porous material with metal plating on top. Notably, his pup pack is slimmed down and the emergency lights have been reduced in size, with 2 more added above his shoulders and just below his collar. Chase is also the only pup in the film not to have a uniform with sleeves or protective visors. Pup Tag: Like all of the PAW Patrol pups, Chase has his own personalized Pup Tag, with the shape of a star badge on it to represent an officer, which he is, and also uses to communicate with Ryder, the Lookout, and the other PAW Patrol pups. When in use, the Pup Tag flashes its light. The Pup Tag also has a special mechanism, which allows the PAW Patrol pups to make video calls to other PAW Patrol members. His Mighty Pup Tag has a blue background and a meteorite on it. His Mission PAW bow tie has an integrated GPS ability that lets Ryder track where he is. It also has a surveillance camera that can let him capture video clips. Pup Pack: Chase has two pup pack vests. His first one, which is used for his normal police uniform, has a spotlight that doubles as a megaphone and launcher that shoots tennis balls and nets. His Super Spy pup pack also has a launcher, a zip line, and a flashlight that doubles as a megaphone. In the movie, Chase's first pup pack also has a grappling hook. Flight Pack: In the Season 3 episode, "Air Pups", Chase was given a flight pack equipped with a rocket-powered glider. It is also equipped with a net that he uses for rescues. Sea Patrol Pup Pack: With his new duties as a lifeguard for Adventure Beach, Chase is given a new pup pack equipped with a rescue buoy and megaphone. Unlike the other pups' Sea Patrol pup packs, his comes with a small light bar attached to it. When underwater in his scuba gear, Chase's pup pack comes with a flashlight for seeing things in the darker parts of the sea. Rescue Knights Pup Pack: In Season 8's "Rescue Knights: Quest for the Dragon's Tooth", along with the other pups, Chase received a new pup pack for Rescue Knight rescue missions. Similar to his standard pup pack, it is equipped with a dragon megaphone. Standard Vehicle: Chase has a blue police truck. There are four traffic cones in the back and whenever Chase barks in a certain way, the front slides up to reveal a bone-shaped winch. Like the other pups, his vehicle can turn into a pup house. The vehicle number is 02. During later missions in the jungle, Chase's truck sports camouflage paint, reinforced push bars on the front, and minor color changes to his emergency lights. The jungle variation of Chase's police truck is also used when he has his super spy gear. Super Spy Vehicle: At the beginning of Season 2, Chase was given super spy gear, with an upgraded vehicle. His spy truck has an ejector seat, a computer, a satellite dish, a spy drone UAV, and a winch. The vehicle also has off-road wheels. The computer and satellite dish act as the remote control for his spy drone UAV. Several of the emergency lights on it have been recolored or replaced, but the vehicle still sports a siren. Three-wheeler: Chase's Mission PAW vehicle, dubbed the "three-wheeler", is a three-wheeled motorcycle equipped with police lights. It can propel a mattress-like landing pad. Patrol Boat: With the opening of Adventure Beach, Chase was granted an all-terrain patrol boat for his Sea Patrol duties. The boat comes equipped with a megaphone, siren, red-and-blue emergency lights, and a winch. It can convert to either a land or sea setup depending on where Chase needs it. It is designed similarly to the inflatable boats used by law enforcement today, such as the United States Coast Guard. His vehicle was used by Zuma in "Ultimate Rescue: Pups Save the Pup Mobiles". Ultimate Police Truck: As part of his assignment as leader of the first Ultimate Rescue mission for the PAW Patrol with rescuing the Royal Kittens of Barking Burg and retrieving Mr. Hudson's stolen locomotive, Chase's police truck was upgraded into a much larger version of itself, with a larger red-and-blue light bar, along with deployable motorcycles and a helicopter from the sides and back of the main vehicle. In "Ultimate Rescue: Pups Save the Pup Mobiles", Zuma uses Chase's Sea Patrol boat to fling Sid and Arby away from the flounder. Mighty Pups, Super Paws Vehicle: In the Mighty Pups sub-series, Chase rides a blue truck with white stripes and gray and yellow highlights. Jet: In Jet to the Rescue, Chase rides a blue and yellow jet with white highlights. It has two different modes: stealth and rescue. When in stealth mode, it can travel the skies without being detected. When in rescue mode, the wings flip and give Chase access to his launchers. Dino Rescue Vehicle: In the Dino Rescue sub-series, Chase rides a blue Dino-shaped police truck with white stripes and yellow highlights. It has two black and yellow wheels in the front and two larger wheels in the back. Motorcycle: In the Moto Pups sub-series, Chase rides a blue motorcycle with white and yellow stripes and black and gray highlights. Adventure City Vehicle: Chase's main vehicle in Adventure City is a high-tech police car with a specialized tape dispenser that closes off whatever perimeter the car drives around. The car also has a net launcher above the driver's seat and can also deploy protective armor plating to defend the driver from any hazards. The car's seat can also launch from the vehicle as a motorcycle, while aside from high speed is capable of driving up walls with special suction cup tires. Rescue Knights Vehicle: In the Rescue Knights sub-series, Chase rides a blue armored police car with yellow and gray highlights. Like the other members, it has a dragon symbol on the side, except he is yellow. It is equipped with a launcher that can shoot out a dragon bola and a dragon net. Big Truck: In the Big Truck Pups sub-series, Chase rides a big blue truck with white and yellow stripes and black highlights. When deployed, the trailer rises horizontally and transforms into a command center where Chase can deploy his launcher, drone, and other rescue tools. Shark Vehicle: In the Aqua Pups sub-series, Chase rides a blue shark-shaped sub with light blue highlights. Much like his standard vehicle, it is equipped with a net that launches from the mouth in the front. Tiger Vehicle: In the Jungle Pups sub-series, Chase rides a police truck in the shape of a tiger. It is blue with yellow and white highlights. The front is shaped like the head of a tiger with a winch stored in its jaws while the back is equipped with an extended tail launcher. Its wheels are all equipped with pairs of yellow, retractable tiger claws. It is also able to imitate the sounds of a tiger, allowing him to communicate with them. Skills and Abilities: He is an excellent sniffer and can track down anything. However, he is allergic to cats, feathers, and dust, Since he's allergic to cats, it could be used as a warning if Mayor Humdinger's kittens are involved in the problem or a hindrance. He uses a megaphone to warn the citizens about trouble and also to direct traffic (used in "Pups Save Christmas"). He also uses a net to stop objects or to save people from falling. He can communicate with owls and beavers. In the Mighty Pups sub-series, he can run at super speeds, and deploy energy nets, and after he becomes charged-up, he can unleash a sonic bark. He is also a competent leader in case Ryder is captured or getting disabled. In PAW Patrol: The Movie, Chase is shown to be very athletic. His greatest feat is leaping from one building to another many stories high to save Ryder. In PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, Chase retains his superpower of super speed and uses it tactically such as covering wide areas or passing on one artifact to another.
