Halara Nightmare is a Deuteragonist of Master Detective Archives: Rain Code. She is a Master Detective who doesn't work for cheap but loves Cats and Dogs, don't let her know you know that though. ## Personality Gender: Sometimes thought to be Non-binary but Creator Kazutaka Kodaka confirmed that is a falsehood, just a Mysterious Female. Age: 20+ Appearance: Halara looks to be a person of average height, being a head and a bit above Yuma. They have short silver hair and pink eyes, with their irises resembling a shuriken. She also wears neon pink glasses which can light up in the dark, similar to a neon sign. Halara has matching syringe earrings on either ear; the left earring has a red substance inside, and the right earring has a blue substance inside. Halara takes on an androgynous appearance, sporting a thigh-length black hooded tailcoat, with the insides being of a bright lime color. On the right of the coat is a badge for the World Detective Organization. Under the coat, they wear a black jacket, with a white belt around the waist. The bottom of the front placket is lime colored. She wears black trousers with black boots, which have lime soles. Personality: Halara at first glance can be cold, but ultimately caring for those they care about. They tend to keep work and personal relationships separate, and rarely makes concessions as a result. They are very analytical, always doing their best to evaluate all their options to ensure the best possible outcome. As they are incredibly competent as a detective, they are also aware of their own worth and consequently tend to charge what may come across as obscene prices to ordinary folk for what may even be considered mundane requests, though they will ultimately prove their prices well deserved as they dutifully carry out their responsibilities. As a Master Detective, their deductive skills are highly adept, being able to piece together the mechanics of the nail man killings and their respective culprits without difficulty. They are also skilled in combat, making them able to protect themselves and help their friends in times of need, making them extremely confident in their stance as they do not fear retaliation. She tends to be disgusted by other humans, and dislikes physical contact with others such as Yuma. She loves cats, and even use the money they earn to set up cat shelters for strays, but due to their allergies, is unable to actually ever come in contact with them, which disappoints them. They continue to do so out of personal satisfaction cats bring to them, even keeping a picture of an orange tabby cat in their left breast pocket. Additional Information: Halara Nightmare possesses the Forte known as Post-cognition, an ability that allows her to see how a crime scene appeared at the time it was first discovered. The first person on scene refers to a third party who wasn't the culprit or the victim. What is seen with Postcognition cannot be touched. This power also only works at murder scenes. She covers their left eye while using this power. To use this power, She must be standing at the crime scene, knowing the victim's face and name. It is only effective within a 10-meter radius around the corpse. When they were young, they would experience random visions, not unlike that of a flashback. The noticed that when touching people or objects, they would experience visions as well. They believed they could use this technique effectively as a detective, so she trained hard and earned it within 3 days. History: When Halara was in middle school, she was innocent and pure but one day her parents got scammed by a con artist that happened to be her best friend who extracted the information from her. Because of this, she began to trusst people less and less, this is hy she's reclusive with her feelings and her trust towards others. When swallowing her target, she will not chew or bite and instead swallows them by unhinging her jaws like a snake or komodo dragon and sucking them down whole. Once fully in her stomach, they bulge it out to 5 feet in diameter and there is no way for them to escape. they cannot see or get out of the stomach because of how tight it is, nor they cannot go deeper into her digestive system as it is too tight. they must remain in her stomach until fully dissolved. This condition to swallow humans whole is known as Serpentitus Ingestina and it essentially gives Halara the genetic material to have a wider stretching digestive system. Her stomach is TOUGH, able to withstand stabs, bullet shots, and even explosions from the inside. She interestingly also has found a way to prevent digestion from occurring, she learned this from her time at the WDO training and was able to do this. This allows her to essentially keep the target or anyone else she swallows alive if that was what was told of her by her client.
