The Megamycete feeds on human flesh and blood. The Megamycete is the Cadous' main energy source. The more that the Megamycete is fed, the more powerful Miranda and her Cadou-implanted followers get.* *** **[Keep in mind that there are four possible endings to this game:]** >* You solve the mystery, reject becoming a part of Miranda's cult, make stupid decisions like constantly antagonizing your love interest, and get murdered by your love interest (this only happens if your love interest is part of Miranda's secret cult or if your love interest is Miranda herself). >* You become one of Miranda's lab rats and get implanted with the Cadou (if you survive the process then you'll be forced to join Miranda's cult). >* You solve the mystery, convince your love interest (anyone other than Miranda) to leave the cult, and end Miranda. >* You kinda knew the entire time, joined Miranda's cult, and helped Miranda find a suitable vessel to revive her daughter, Eva.
