Description

Ethan is a jazz dancer on A-Troupe, formerly on B-Troupe.[3] Ethan auditions for an alternate spot on A-Troupe but is unsuccessful, causing him to audition for B-Troupe[2] and makes it in.[3] ## Personality Before the show Ethan was inspired by his sister dancing, so his mother put him in dancing classes.[2] Season 7 Ethan 703 Ethan is cut from the A-Troupe alternates auditions. Ethan attends the auditions for one of the two alternate spots on A-Troupe. At the auditions, he meets Marcus, who he initially acts frostily towards, as he asserts that he does not want to get attached to his pretty face. After he argues with Marcus about who is the better dancer, Ethan becomes Marcus' best friend. He performs a proficient solo which gets him through to the choreography round but gets cut and ultimately does not make it into A-Troupe, planning to audition for B-Troupe,[2] which he makes it into.[3] On B-Troupe, Ethan is excited to have the opportunity to go to Nationals and is even more overjoyed when Gavin Davenport allows his team to go.[4] Ethan auditions for a spot on the Funder Bros but is denied when he proclaims that he is unsure of what Legions of Lasers is. In retaliation, despite the Funder Bros later on offering him a role of their new bro, Ethan forms his own friendship group, called the Funder Bunch, featuring Marcus and Pete.[1] Ethan watches Presley audition for the tenth spot on B-Troupe and is amazed at her dancing skills. He reprimands Cleo for missing her audition and for saying that B-Troupe is not going to Nationals, to which he retaliates that the troupe will be performing at Nationals and with Presley's audition solo.[5] Ethan is driven to compete at Nationals, after A-Troupe threatens his team's spots on the team going to Nationals.[6] Personality Ethan is ambitious and driven, to the point of occasionally being rude and is highly self-confident in his abilities in dance.[2] In addition, he is outspoken and always voices what is on his mind, even if it offends others.[7] Physical appearance Characteristics Ethan has dark skin, black hair (later dark red and black) and dark brown eyes. He is quite tall. Attire When dancing, Ethan wears a dark blue t-shirt with black shorts. As part of his of his Funder Bunch uniform, he wears a bright green t-shirt with the Funder Bunch logo on the left breast, paired with black shorts.[1] Abilities Dancing Ethan considers himself the best dancer at The Next Step, with Richelle being a close second.[2] Jazz: Ethan's main style of dance is jazz, which he is highly proficient in.[2] Marcus Marcus and Ethan are best friends Pete Pete and Ethan are best friends.
