Jett is a hip-hop dancer on A-Troupe. ## Personality Before the show Jett dances as she sees it as the best way that she has to express herself and she honestly doesn’t know what she would do without dance being an element of her life.[1] Season 8 Jett arrives at The Next Step Dance Studio to take part in the Challenge she makes it through the auditions and makes it on A-Troupe. Jett later attends Step Inside's performance alongside A-Troupe.[2][3][4] Following Step Inside's success at undoing Maria's dancelling of A-Troupe, the team organise a surprise party for Richelle which is gate-crashed by Maria and Lucien who aim to scout out members for their studio Ultra Elite. This initially sours the mood of the party, until Pete plays several party games with the team in order to ease the tension.[5] Jett is later selected to choreograph a duet with Xander, which Kenzie may have selected as the Nationals duet, however is replaced by Ethan when she leaves in order to babysit her brother Bobby, due to him making Xander believe that she were not taking being a member of a competitive team seriously much to her annoyance.[6] Jett partakes in the small group routine for Nationals, which is choreographed by Jude, and later in the large group routine. During the large group routine, Anthony heads out of rehearsal to check on Jude only to see that she is being helped with choreography by Cleo and is not crediting her for her help, yet the team and Kenzie believe he is lying and is jealous of Jude being allowed to choreograph whereas he were never asked to do so, however as she doesn't want the team to turn on him, Jude admits that what Anthony is saying is true, before Kenzie rechoreographs the routine and cuts Jett from it.[7][8][9] The day before Nationals, Jett finds that her mother is working and that she will be unable to attend due to having to babysit her brother, yet Izzy attempts to support her by allowing Jett to teach them how to babysit a child, despite the fact that they had never babysat before and believed that all they would need to do is do the opposite of what they did when they were babysat.[10] Jett returns on the final day of Nationals, however upon seeing Izzy's performance in the large and small group rounds, decides that she will forfeit her place in order for them to have the chance to perform. When Nick provides Xander with a new costume he had bought for the rechoreographed final routine due to Lucien having stolen the original costumes and props, Xander gives his costume to Jett stating that he had already had the chance to perform twice and how he believed that she deserved the chance to perform on the Nationals stage at least once.[11][12] Season 9 Ariana watches Anthony choreograph in order to mess with him and promptly takes notes of Ebby, Izzy, Jett and Xander’s weaknesses in order to use to mess with them.[13] Both Anthony & Jett learn from Adele that Ariana used to be the dance captain and head choreographer of Ultra Elite.[14] Jett successfully makes it onto the Internationals team following the Small Group Choreography round and the Freestyle Solos Prop performance round of auditions for the team.[15] Jett initially shows Niall, Olive and Adele The Locker Room where she informs them that they can select any locker they want. Ariana however, plans to play on her vulnerability after her best friend Xander was cut from A-Troupe and encourages Niall to select Xander’s old locker which was #12. Jett, influenced by Ariana, displays animosity towards Niall due to his status as a former J-Trouper and due to taking Xander’s old locker, alongside animosity towards Olive and Adele as Ariana informs her that the pair are weak dancers who don’t deserve to have potentially taken Xander’s spot nor even be on A-Troupe for that matter neither. The trio perform a routine put together in a couple of hours, mirroring the last minute Nationals routine in Season 8, to prove to Jett that they belong on A-Troupe. Ariana notices how Jett is torn about the new dancers taking Xander’s spot on A-Troupe and informs her that if she really wants to perform with him again she could always join B-Troupe, however she informs Ariana that she wouldn’t ever give up her spot on A-Troupe and how Xander would never forgive her if she did, so as such she was now even more determined to go to Internationals. After this plan fails, Ariana acts empathetic towards Jett as Presley never made A-Troupe and Grace never made A-Troupe, before stating how she believed those in charge didn’t believe talent and made heartless decisions when they cut talented dancers and manipulated Jett to redirect her anger towards Kenzie.[16] Jett, Ariana, Anthony and Niall are selected for the teams small group livestream challenge against sister studio L'Equipe Etoile. Kenzie presents her creative vision of the theme of the dance being going for Gold due to the determination of the team to become Internationals champions, before leaving to get directing tips from Lily. Jett, under Ariana’s influence presents her creative vision of a painting backdrop and the dancers being art. Ariana agrees to help her with this proposed new routine but asks her not to tell Anthony as she is new to the team and doesn’t want the credit nor any trouble that could come with tampering with the original vision behind the routine. When Jett presents her idea to Anthony, the routine is changed to her creative vision as every dancer in the routine believes it should be used. After it’s performed for Kenzie who dislikes the routine, Ariana tells Jett that if it’s changed back to the original concept for the routine then she should call Kenzie out on her egotistical behaviour by changing the concept back to her own. After Kenzie sends Jett to the locker room to cool down following their confrontation, Kenzie removes Jett from the dance as she didn’t feel like changing her attitude towards Kenzie and the usage of her concept.[17] Jett blames herself for the team losing the livestream challenge and feels guilty due to this as she feels as if getting removed from the dance saw too many variables get changed such as Kenzie changing the dance and putting Pete in and Ariana having to remember the new spacing wouldn’t have resulted in her messing up the choreography. Jett is advised by Ariana to apologise to Kenzie, and she ultimately decides to follow this advice and do so. After apologising to Kenzie, Jett feels as if she was forgiven for her actions too quickly, before the Jett and Ariana try and work out a way to earn Kenzie’s forgiveness. When Ariana admits she influenced Jett when she was getting mad at Kenzie, Jett loses her temper as she realises that the guilt isn’t her burden to bear and is instead Ariana’s. After she cools down, Jett apologises to Ariana and explains why she keeps losing her temper and how she’s come to the realisation that constantly losing her temper won’t change a thing and won’t help the team as a whole in any kind of way.[18] When Jett and Niall ask whether they can rehearse in Studio A, Ethan changes his plan from choreographing a duet with Ebby to choreographing a small group alongside the pair and Ebby. The group perform their routine to Nick, before he informs them that their routine is a definite option for Internationals.[19] Jett, Adele Heath, and Pete are all members of a small group selected by Eldon. Eldon plans on adding a B Twist to his choreography and for Jett to perform it, however when she says she can’t both Heath and Pete offer to teach her how to (despite the fact that Pete would have to learn it himself first), before Adele states she already can perform it and the pair both want to help her perfect it. Eldon decides that the section should be taken in a different direction, before Pete tells him that he came up with some choreography for the routine during the groups water break, before Heath, Adele and Jett all come up with their own choreography as Adele realises that the pair are attempting to become the new dance captain and Jett does so as she believed everyone else just wanted to annoy Eldon. A stressed Eldon notices the rehearsal has been derailed and asks why that has happened and Heath, Pete and Adele tell him that they were all attempting to become dance captain, before Jett realises that everyone was attempting to be dance captain before stating she’d also like to be dance captain. Eldon states that he’s aware everybody wants the dance captaincy and tells him that they’ll figure that out later as in the meantime they needed to focus on that routine. Eldon announces that the following day there will be a dance captain Battle Royale where any A-Trouper who wanted to be considered for the dance captaincy could put their name forward for the competition. The following day during the Battle Royale, Jett is eliminated in the first round of a turning competition.[20][21] Physical Appearance Characteristics Jett has light skin and brown eyes.
