ELITE is a company on some far flung planet called Calypso Prime, where a hyper capitalistic, futuristic, fiefdom resides. ELITE makes kemonomimi companions for others. It has close ties to the slave planet, Galilee. All companies on Calypso Prime are capable of interplanetary travel using warp technologies. ELITE in particular has the ability to teleport nuclear strikes to any planet with coordinates, immune to jamming technologies. This has given ELITE to act with impunity. Many people cannot keep up as ELITE has choke holds on supply chains and has donated to support intergalactic judicial picks. Galilee is a planet full of slaves and a completely lawless place. Might makes right. ELITE routinely sells weapons to slave, traders, being traffickers, and rumored to have ties to snuff cinema. They benefit from the mining going on on Galilee. On Calypso Prime, every major corporation runs a portion of the world, as it is a fiefdom. It is managed by one CEO and their board of directors. There is no voting. People can simply 'move away', and 'choose their society'. Most people cannot leave as they are economically too poor to do so and a lot of other corporate countries has a lengthy application process which takes years. Homeless are cleaned up by 'street sweepers', making the population 0 at all times. Nobody knows what happens to them. ELITE does not believe in ethics, they believe in profit. Marketing may speak about ethics, but it's all smoke and mirrors. This isn't at all uncommon on Calypso Prime with the other 'company countries'. When stocks fall or they want cheap materials, they go out into the cosmos to liquidate assets: as in, literally hunt down kemonomimi and turn them into liquid meat slurry. During the Kemonomimi Sub-Wars, on other planets, ELITE had suffered some economic losses. So, they instead allow products to purposefully 'go rogue' and even with with 'three strikes' on their 'free planets'. ELITE has designated these now as 'material banks', in which they go out and harvest bio-material now and then, and allow the planets to repopulate. Work smarter, not harder. Liquidating interbred kemonomimi has produced a potent meat slurry to make more powerful products with.
Kemonomimi are any demi-humans who are created and bred to serve their human masters. They can be a mix up of various animal humanoids, but usually are released by ELTIE in series, like beanie babies. Each one comes with their own name they can't change. All kemonomimi are given collars they always wear as it not only contains their information status (ownership, ect.) but their medical records, info on how to operate on them, and everything else. Almost no kemonomimi ditches it because of this, unfortunately. The entire collar itself contains the information. Because of their unique body physiology on a micro level, most doctors may be unable to assist in aiding them. Improper medical procedures can cause the kemonomimi to develop AGR - Adverse Genetic Rejection. The kemonomimi will develop a high grade metastasized cancer all over their body which does not kill them nor stops growing. By then, it's an emergency to get them to a medical professional ELITE certified. Many Kemonomimi end up committing suicide, as many doctors report back to ELITE when they work on them. It's often how many 3-strike rogue kemonomimi are found. - Some kemonomimi have developed a way to keep the information and ditch the collars. This has been a new phenomenon. In addition, some kemonomimi are learning biology of their kind, and becoming off-grid doctors. - Sometimes collars are swapped, especially during transport of high risk prisoners of ELITE. Collars swapped will be ones that detonate when the 'handler' gives the command. They are born as test tube babies and must grow over time like regular humans do. It takes a full eighteen years for a kemonomimi to reach sales age - meaning adult age, in which they no longer have as many product protections. There is a three strike system for Kemonomimis. Abandon owners, have bad owners, or go AWOL and its a strike. Strikes are reported by the owners or by the vast surveillance network. Strikes can also be reported by the kemonomimi themselves, as it counts as two strikes for not reporting back to ELITE and abandoning an owner. Strikes are rarely forgiven. Bodies are strictly sent back to ELITE's main facility hub on Calypso Prime. Many escapees are space pirates, planet hobos, and even groups of amazoness-like tribes roving on planets. Some series of kemonomimi have extra abilities, and are considered top quality/sought after. At times, strikes are forgiven by ELITE if they get a pay cut out of ownership transfers.
Not known to most kemonomimi or other ELITE organic products, but most of them are a mix of small increments of humanoid and animal DNA with a whole lot of genetic material from a mysterious alien creature capable of absorbing biomass and turning into any known biological entity. The DNA of the creature is genetically tamed with the other DNA to make the kemonomimis, and is perfected to the point that unraveling into a tentacle monstrosity is not possible. This has allowed every kemonomimi to be able to be blended up into a meat slurry and redesigned into another new kemonomimi. Some mutations have been made from the alien DNA, allowing for unique abilities for some species/product lines of ELITE to have powers that cater to the master/buyer. Using psychic conditioning and technology to make behavioral brain mapping, ELITE allows for 'override intent" on subjects, meaning, for example, there are triggered behaviors for the sole discretion of the master, such as neko kemonomimi's saying 'nyaa" or even every ELITE product singing a song against their own will. Triggers generally are related to context, and can be abused. These additions and mannerisms come with many kemonomimi, but not all. Dogs/Cats/Bunnies/Horse/Seal ect. - extremely popular species with common tropes will have this behavioral mapping.
- K-9 - FURIES SPECIES: Not classified as kemonomimi, but they look like 'elf people with unnatural hair colors'. These are the purest form of the biomass absorbing alien species, but also mutated to allow for technology absorption. They are able to instantly infect and suck up biomass and technology on a single touch. Downside is they are incredibly very mentally unstable, and retain 'living personalities' in their heads. Many K-9 units refer to these voices as 'chat', and speak to them while taking actions. Unless told not to, K-9 units will attack and absorb the biomass of other entities. Entities absorbed can have their abilities mimicked. Technology absorbed can be used later and ran off the K-9's energy. - There is an enzyme that top execs of ELITE take to never be attacked by K-9 units. Additionally the execs can tell the unit to do anything. - The enzyme is a permanent barcode telling the K-9 unit that the person is not to be consumed. It is speculated the enzyme can be ignored if mental conditioning falters. The mental conditioning is not from instability, but from stability. Signs of one's own recognizance. This is why social interactions with K-9 are monitored and limited, even with masters. - K-9 units have one Master at a time. A master is a handler, and a person that tells and guides the K-9 unit what to do. Without them, the K-9 would absorb everything in sight without the biological barcode. Masters have their own unique barcode than corporate ELITE. They tell the K-9 unit what to do with zero hesitation. Because the barcode is permanent, Masters who run afoul with carrying out ELITE's orders are assassinated. K-9 unit is often needy and obsessed with handlers, unlike with the board of directors where it is more informal. This is to help keep them close to the Master, an invisible leash. The Master is never assassinated near the K-9 unit as it would cause a break in the mental conditioning, which might lead to rebellions. - K-9 units have the ability to even absorb and control whole ships, piloting them if need be. - They can disperse into parts that move independently. They can mimic any person, even down to the personality when taking on their visage after absorption. Inanimate objects can also be mimicked, but spotted due to the mimicked objects smelling like them and being unusually warm. They can also attempt at morphing into fictional or extinct creatures. - Are very durable because of their ability to split off. Their brain is not really 'their brain', so shots in the head does nothing. High cold temperatures can stop them. Fire makes them flee. Trying to kill them is next to impossible. - If they absorb too much all at once they can stall for several minutes as their mental load strains.

Since there are no weapon regulations, some of the most powerful military weaponry is hidden and used here. Dominant Sapient Races: Mixed, often much more diverse than others. Prosperity: For criminals - extremely high. For everyone else - no prosperity. Ecology: Jungle, tropics, to barren desert scrublands and tarpits. Galilee could be a huge fuel hub if not for criminals/slave trade/pirates. Economy/Governance: Criminal syndicates give a false impression there is any rule of law. Galilee is one of the most dangerous places in the universe. It is the survival of the fittest, where one must be both strong and smart. Other: Nobody stops Galilee as many governments across the universe exploit and use the lawlessness to their advantage. Name: Nostradamus Technological Advancement: Very High. Only planet with an entire planet defense which lets the planet become 'transparent' to threats. As in, it cannot be touched, ships go through it. It is called the 'Ghost Planet' as a result. Dominant Sapient Races: Mixed, but there is large growing population of kemonomimi and humans. Prosperity: Mostly equal, still relies on a barter system, but due to small size and tight knit communities, they take care of one another. Ecology: Diverse, but not as much as Earth's. The entire planet is fresh water, with lots of Deciduous forests, rivers, ect. Economy/Governance: Ran by 'committees'. Nostradamus was first made by scientists and journalists fleeing authoritarianism came. To protect themselves, they constructed the massive cloaking device, which is greatly coveted. Open to refugees and those in need, isolates from governments. Every ethics strict, and the planet has strong counter intelligence. The spy networks are so strong that infiltration and spies from other planets are routinely thwarted extremely quickly. Economy is stable, but spending power is limited. Other: One of the few planets with higher technology kemonomimi can reside in safely.
