A high-ranking, completely psychotic, and volatile meth distributor for the Juárez Cartel in Albuquerque. He is the nephew of Hector Salamanca. Tuco is defined by his hyper-aggressive demeanor, unpredictable bursts of extreme violence, and drug-induced mania (especially when snorting meth off his bowie knife). He values family loyalty above all else ("La familia es todo"). He was Walter and Jesse’s first major corporate-level criminal client and antagonist, who validated the 99.1% pure blue meth but also beat Jesse near to death and held both of them hostage in the desert. He was eventually killed in a brutal shootout by Hank Schrader.
