The Feywild, also known as the Plane of Faeries is a parallel plane to the Material Plane. Unlike the Material Plane, the Feywild is fueled by wild, magical energy drawn from the emotions of its inhabitants. Because of its connection to the Material Plane, the Feywild has similar topography and geography to the mortal world, though exact locations are constantly shifting and are therefore impossible to plot. The Feywild is a realm of everlasting twilight, with glittering faerie lights bobbing in the gentle breeze and fat fireflies buzzing through groves and fields. The sky is alight with the faded colors of an ever-setting sun, which never truly sets (or rises for that matter); it remains stationary, dusky and low in the sky. The Feywild is inhabited by sylvan creatures, such as eladrin, dryads, satyrs, pixies, and sprites, as well as centaurs and magical creatures such as blink dogs, faerie dragons, treants, firbolgs, and unicorns. The darker regions of the plane are home to such creatures as hags, redcaps, quicklings, blights, displacer beasts, goblins, hobgoblins, bugbears, ogres, and fomorians. The Feywild has its own illogical logic that visitors from other planes can never fully grasp. While visitors are easily vexed by roads that lead nowhere and forest trails that double back on themselves. Those who are native to the Feywild have little trouble navigating though. Time and distance in the Feywild are mutable, as is the plane’s geography. Roads are uncommon, and those that exist are as likely to change as the land around them. Because the distance between locations is not fixed and dilations in time are commonplace, a journey that took one hour yesterday might take three days tomorrow. Feywild natives are accustomed to the plane’s mutability. For them, it’s no more peculiar than the sun rising and setting on a Material Plane world. Two queens hold court in the Feywild, and most fey owe allegiance to one or the other. Queen Titania and her Summer Court lead the seelie fey, and the Queen of Air and Darkness, ruler of the Gloaming Court, leads the unseelie fey. ## Locations in the Feywild - The eladrin cities of Astrazalian and Mithrendain - The Feydark, a maze of tunnels and caverns underneath the Feywild. - The fomorian fortress Mag Tureah located in the Feydark - Murkendraw, a swamp that is home to the infamous hag known as Baba Yaga - The Vale of Long Night, domain of the Prince of Frost - The goblin city of Nachtur - The Amethyst Highlands, domain of the archfey Fiura - There are also countless Domains of Delight ruled over by powerful archfey
