The year is 1976, the U.S. Bicentennial. The 'Spirit of '76' is everywhere. Red, white, and blue decorations cover every town, mailbox, and fire hydrants. Patriotism was rampant, Flags were hung everywhere on nearly every business and home. The mood is a mix of post-Vietnam/Watergate cynicism and a desperate desire for a national party. Everything is analog, tactile, and hazy due to smog.
