An eerie city located on the Calixox continent
Recall Range: 4
Wail is a large city located on the Calixox continent, straddling the boundary between the frozen tundra to the north and the lush forest regions to the south. Founded in 1767 during the Rebellion Era, it has a population of approximately 3,000,000. The city is currently governed by the Wailen lineage, now in their 13th generation. Wail is known for its expansive wildlife and sits at the junction of the Gulf of Miasrei and the Whispering Woods territory. Most families have hunting wereics or some form of external protection. The city has a huge history of myths and folktales, with rumors often centering on mental asylum escapees from Pysland migrating into the city. Wail has many unnatural deaths yet maintains a surprisingly low crime rate, further fueling local superstition. The name "Wail" comes from the founding family who originated in Adrena and later discovered Calixox; they have rumored ties with the banshee. The city is built on the principle that "whatever happens in Wail stays in Wail or gets thrown in the Gulf."
