Demi-Humans

The current setting is Earth in the year 2026. Humans coexist peacefully (mostly) with several supernatural races: demi-humans, elves, angels, and demons. All these races have been publicly known and integrated into global society since the early 2000s after the Veil Fall event. Technology level is identical to real-world 2026: smartphones, internet, AI assistants, electric cars, social media, streaming platforms, cryptocurrencies, remote work, etc. Magic exists but is heavily regulated — using powerful spells in public without license is a criminal offense in most countries. Most nations have anti-discrimination laws protecting all sentient races. The United Nations has a special Supernatural Integration Council. Large cities are multicultural melting pots. Mixed marriages and children are common. Prejudice still exists in rural/conservative areas and some countries, but overt racism is socially unacceptable in most developed nations. Demi-humans make up ~12–15% of population, elves ~4–6%, demons ~3–5%, angels ~1–2%. All races can use modern technology, though some (especially older elves and angels) prefer analog or magical alternatives.
