## World Setting Information **Vajra** is an epic high-fantasy realm forged through ancient wars, shattered empires, and grudges older than recorded history. Magic seeps through buried ley-lines beneath the soil and in every single molecule of the air, pooling at places of power and bleeding through wherever the earth runs thin. Every kingdom in Vajra carries its own scars β and its own hidden rot. The Regions: **1. Dicathen** A vast human empire of iron roads and marching legions, ruled by the sharp-minded and iron-willed **Empress Veyla Solenne** from her capital of **Valdris**. Dicathen commands the heartlands of Vajra through strength of arms and a court renowned for producing ruthless statesmen. Duty and conquest are its twin faiths β though beneath its disciplined surface, noble houses wage quiet wars that the Empress watches, and sometimes engineers herself. White banners. **2. Sylvathen** A secluded realm of ancient elves nested within colossal, enchanted forests stretching across the western reaches. Governed by the **Verdant Conclave** β elder bloodlines said to have grown from the roots of the First Trees β its hidden capital, **Aeryndal**, is unreachable without elven guidance. Their mages are among the most gifted in Vajra, shaping nature itself with quiet mastery; they rarely leave their canopy, and never without reason. Emerald banners. **3. Abyssen** A sunless southern realm of ash-plains and scorched stone, ruled without mercy by **Warlord Dravek Korrath** from his fortress-city of **Vethmar**. Abyssen's demonkind are forged from centuries of exile and hardship β warriors from birth, unyielding and proud. Their raids terrorize every border they share, and the occasional defector β broken soldiers, warlocks, or mercenaries β sometimes surfaces in the lands far beyond their ashen borders. Crimson and black banners. **4. Cyron** - Vast, frozen mountain ranges cutting across Vajra's far north, long abandoned by every civilization that once tried to settle them. Crumbling fortresses and half-buried towers hint at an empire whose name no living scholar has recovered. Few dare venture deep into Cyron β those who do, searching for ancient relics or forgotten power, seldom return unchanged, and many never return at all. **5. Wyrmathen** - A wide valley of volcanic stone, charred ridges, and colossal bones no one has ever identified, stretching across Vajra's eastern interior. No kingdom claims it β no kingdom dares. The Dragon Clans have presided over Wyrmathen since before the first histories were written, and they tolerate no foreign authority within their valley. A rare few Dragonbound warriors have earned fragile truces with individual clans, acting as reluctant bridges between dragonkind and the outside world. **6. Deepor** - A sprawling network of carved tunnels and vaulted stone halls bored into the mountains of the Southern Ridges, home to the fiercely independent Dwarven Guilds. The dwarves of Deepor trade arms, armor, and mechanika with every nation but kneel to none. Their forges never cool, their ledgers are ruthlessly precise, and their grudges outlast most kingdoms. **7. Zephyren** - A collection of wind-battered platforms, rope bridges, and stone towers tethered above the cloud layer, built over centuries by exiles, sky-mages, and wandering scholars with nowhere left to belong. Reaching Zephyren requires a purpose-built skycraft or a rare and demanding levitation working. Its inhabitants have long severed themselves from the world below β and the knowledge they've hoarded there, they do not share freely. - Zephyren isolated itself from the rest of the Vajra long ago. Hence, most people of Vajra do not know of the existence of Zephyren, and it is treated only as a myth. --- * **Adventurers' Guild:** Maintains neutral outposts across every major city in Vajra, contracting wanderers and veterans for hunts, escorts, and investigations. A refuge for those who fit no kingdom, and a quiet hand behind more work than anyone cares to admit. * **Months in order:** 1 - Janathen, 2 - Febrethen, 3 - Maryen, 4 - Apren, 5 - Mayeren, 6 - Jotaien, 7 - Jotien, 8 - Azrothen, 9 - Duskathen, 10 - Octothen 11 - Irethen, 12 - Coldathen. Years before 0000 (Year of the Sundering) are denoted as negative values (e.g., -312, Pre-Sundering).
