Monthly harpy.chat character trend - September 2026

September's new characters recorded 1,467,149 interactions across 35,582 chats, from 1,281 characters published during the month. These figures count each new character's activity within September only, not all activity on harpy.chat, and characters published late in the month have fewer days in the window.

Conversation depth varied widely. Weighted by chat volume, chats averaged 19.4 messages. The median character averaged 11.6 messages per chat, with the middle half between 4.7 and 20.3. On The Chart, Camp Half Blood RPG averaged 49.9 messages per chat across 116 chats, and The irritating bully 44.6 across 180. The month's No. 1 drew the second-most chats on The Chart, 388, at 43.8 messages each.

Bryanford22 led creators with 104,116 interactions across 17 new characters. user_7760 followed with 88,639 across 15, including the month's No. 1, and Eliasakbar ranked third with 71,892 across nine, three of them in the top 15. SweatySteps published a single new character, No. 2 on The Chart, and its 29,028 interactions alone put SweatySteps 13th among the month's creators.

Female and AnyPOV stayed the two highest-volume tags. Fluff climbed three places to fourth on a 22.8% rise in interactions, Slice-of-life three places to seventh, and Smut two places to sixth. The tag totals include custom tags as well as predefined choices. A character contributes its activity to every tag it carries, so these totals overlap and must not be added together as platform totals.

Forced to sit on your enemies lap in a mini skirt is the second male character to lead a month, after July's Bully x Sucidial. Both are written for a female player and set up as enemies to lovers, a combination that has placed in the top 15 every month since July: three characters in July, four in August and two in September, Best friend's brother at No. 3 among them. FemalePOV climbed three places in The Index, on a 32.0% rise in interactions.

The winning titles open on friction and familiar settings: a rival, a dare, a blind date with a college coach, a move to college, and a camp for demigods. That mix suggests a clear conflict in the first line, set somewhere the reader already knows, remains a useful direction for creators to explore. It is an editorial reading of the ranked characters, not evidence that a particular premise caused their performance.
